    Welcome to this classic Maine cottage, perfectly situated along two miles of stunning Atlantic shoreline to walk, bike, jog, or drive. A local favorite for generations, this oceanfront retreat combines timeless charm with modern comfort.

    Enjoy high-speed WiFi, HD DirecTV, books, games, and toys for all ages. The inviting living room features cozy seating and a thermostat-controlled gas Jøtul stove—perfect for taking off the evening chill. During the summer months, guests can stay comfortable with portable window air conditioning units available on each level of the home.

    Start your morning with coffee prepared at the convenient coffee station and sip it from the rocking chairs on the porch, the yard's Adirondack chairs, or on the ocean rocks just across the way. Watch lobster boats haul in their catch, admire passing windjammers, spot seals and sea birds, and take in breathtaking sunsets from the glassed/screened porch.

    At night, stretch out under the wide-open Maine sky and watch for shooting stars. From the property, you can fish, launch a kayak or canoe, swim, or explore tide pools filled with crabs, starfish, and other seaside treasures. Artists will love setting up an easel to capture the ever-changing coastal light.

    Nearby, you'll find golf, mini golf, shops, restaurants, hiking trails, gardens, playgrounds, and more. Whether you come for relaxation or adventure, this oceanfront haven promises a memorable stay. Four generations have made cherished memories here—now it's your turn.

Beautiful Location!

You can’t beat the location and view this property offers. Having coffee on the front porch overlooking the water was amazing. This is an adorable and well appointed Maine cottage.

Adorable Cottage, Shore Road is everything you would imagine Maine to be at its best with its picturesque views of the ocean, islands and scenery. Our family enjoyed our stay and is looking forward to returning. Great value for the money and well equipped, just bring your clothes and camara.

Amazing ocean view, very homey!

We loved our stay here. Very clean, comfortable and homey. They location is so nice right by the ocean, what a view! We enjoyed the ocean air and view on the enclosed patio - our fav place to be. We wished we had more time to just relax enjoy the home. It had everything we needed.

It was indeed a GREAT view!!

We loved sitting on the porch watching the boats and the AMAZING sunsets. The beds, linens and towels were very comfortable. There was excellent communication with the property manager and extremely fast responses to some of my concerns.

Perfect family getaway

You could tell this house has been a well-loved family getaway for its owners for a long time. Everything is set up so that when you arrive, it will feel that way for you, too. Cozy, charming, beautiful views from every window, lots of games & activities for the kids, plenty to do in the area. I hope we'll be back!

Location, location, location!

The view doesn't get any better! You can see the water from most rooms in the house, the sunsets are incredible. The house is as pictured. It's a quaint, family cottage. The kitchen was very well stocked. It really had everything we needed and we enjoyed out time sitting by the water. Very peaceful location.

A wonderful spot!

We stayed with our three kids and my mother-in-law for a long weekend at the end of August. The house is in a beautiful spot overlooking the water. It's a basic cottage with lots of charm and character. I would have preferred fewer trinkets around the place, but that is my personal preference. The view across the water is stunning. We had a great time!

Fun family time

My family of four and my brother and his teenage daughter stayed there. My husband and I had one room, my 12 year old son stayed in another, my 14 year old niece and seven year old daughter stayed in another, and my brother had another, with plenty of room for all six of us to sit on the couch. It was beautiful and breathtaking, the view was unreal and the quiet neighborhood was perfect! The screened in porch was just great to eat dinner and watch the sunset go down!

The property was fine but for two retirees it was much more than we needed! We essentially used the bathroom, bedroom and porch…..oh and the refrigerator,. The location of course is spectacular and the walk to ocean point very memorable. We loved the duck nesting in the front yard and did have one occasion to use the lawn chairs…otherwise it rained the entire visit!

Place was wonderful, calm relaxing. No complaints other than all the extra fees. They actually double the nightly fee., a little excessive. Was looking to stay 2 weeks next year. Went with another option that has lower total fees

The Porch, the Views!

Hands down the highlight of our stay was the view of the ocean from the porch. Absolutely gorgeous and relaxing! The location is outstanding - chairs provided on the waterfront and lovely walks around Ocean Point. The house itself is small, but well suited for four adults. We had an abundance of towels, kitchenware, and all the necessary amenities. A couple of things to note: 1) with only one bathroom you have to be patient for your turn; the shower water pressure is weak, and 2) no cable TV (if that matters to you); however there is an HDMI cable. Would we stay here again? Yes, because of the views!

Great location and well appointed. The porch was dirty but that is understandable given the area's labor shortage. The downstairs master bed mattress is pretty bad. Like a hammock. Should be replaced. We left everything as found or better. I live locally year around. RE

Beautiful view

This is a charming, older home that is quintessentially Maine. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the boats pass—once we were able to cool it down as we experienced a heatwave. Boothbay is a cute little town and we found that it had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The listing claimed to have water access, but we never could figure out exactly where. We walked down to the dock about 1/4 mile away and went swimming there. If the owners included paddleboards or kayaks, this would be a huge plus to the property. Until they do, bring your own or rent some in town.

Pictures are better than truth

A charming cottage in a great location. The initial walk-in is a bit of a shock,, the photos are using a wide angle lens, it’s actually smaller and darker than it appears. Most of the windows on the glass front porch don’t open or blinds don’t function so you walk through a little oven to enter the house. The neighbors do not like that this is a short term rental so glare at you rather than speak to you and they don’t want lights on after dark… I don’t mean to make it sound unpleasant, it was fine, but with the nightly cost coupled with all the Vacasa and Vrbo fees, I think it wasn’t a fair deal.. we’ve stayed in houses all around Boothbay, it’s a wonderful place! This house is great, it’s just not priced correctly.

It was quant, comfortable, good beds, very workable kitchen, safe community and nice walking areas. We had a great time. There were a couple small things that could easily be fixed by the maintenance or cleaning people. We loved the front porch and walking down to the water for the sunsets. Overall it was a great choice for us.
