One of North Shore Retreat’s most special features is its access to the private amenities of the Bartwood Estates community. Just a short stroll from the home, guests can enjoy the private community beach, tennis and pickleball courts, and the newly available community dock — a perfect place to take in panoramic waterfront views, watch boats glide by, enjoy a peaceful sunset, or begin a day of island exploration.

The community dock offers a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of the Salish Sea up close, providing guests with a memorable way to connect with Orcas Island’s natural surroundings. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet morning by the water, looking for the perfect sunset spot, or simply taking in the peaceful rhythm of island life, the dock is a wonderful addition to your stay.

For guests arriving by boat, overnight moorage may be available at the community dock for an additional fee through the dock’s posted Venmo payment instructions. Dock access details, payment instructions, and community guidelines will be provided in your guest information prior to arrival.

Inside, the welcoming open-concept layout offers a comfortable gathering space, a fully equipped kitchen, cozy bedrooms, and a bonus living area perfect for families with games, entertainment, and additional sleeping options.

After a day of exploring Orcas Island, unwind in the peaceful surroundings, take a short stroll to the beach, challenge your group to a game of pickleball, or settle in with a good book surrounded by the beauty of the North Shore.

North Shore Retreat is the perfect island escape for families, couples, and four-legged adventurers looking to experience the very best of Orcas Island.

Pets are welcome with an additional fee of $100 for the first pet and $50 for the second pet (maximum of two pets).
