”When we arrived, the keypad wouldn’t work but fortunately the front door was unlocked. The host returned our phone call eventually, but cell service is very poor in that area. Overall, the stay was excellent. You do have to haul off your own trash, which is a little frustrating considering we also paid a cleaning fee, but the dump is close by. The house is super spacious and the windows in the living room are BEAUTIFUL! Great view and amazing sunsets! We loved the house!”

”We loved our stay at this lake house retreat. The property was very well maintained with a spacious boathouse. The home was fully equipped with modern amenities and tastefully decorated. The split floor plan was perfect for travelling with teens or multi family. The hosts were responsive and friendly. We had a wonderful time relaxing by the water and the location is excellent. ”This was not what we had in mind for our annual lake Gaston vacation. The pros: the house itself was nice. It was clean and comfortable and the layout was perfect for our family. Dennis was responsive and the check-in process was easy. We also enjoy bringing our dogs. The Cons: the pictures are deceiving. The picture with the lake view was taken from the upper level of the pier. There is no lake view from the deck off of the house because of over grown trees. There isn’t much view from the dock...

”We had the most wonderful time!! The home and view of the lake was wonderful. Our grandchildren really enjoyed fishing and playing in the lake. We took our pontoon boat and used it for tubing and exploring other areas on the lake. A boat ramp was directly across from the house and easy to use. We highly recommend staying there. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals. We will definitely consider using it again!!!”

”We absolutely loved everything about our stay! The house is lovely; clean, functional, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. From reading in the hammock on the deck, floating on the giant pad in the lake, fishing, swimming, playing ping pong, and enjoying s'mores, our family had an absolute blast at the lake house. If your family includes kids and dogs, this is the perfect vacation spot for you! ”

”My two daughters and I had a great time at Sasquatch Ranch! Between the goats, paddle boat, corn hole, gas grill and outdoor fireplaces, fresh eggs in our fridge upon our arrival (YUM!) and the super cute and clean place we couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing and low stress overnight stay. Dean was an amazing and kind host, making sure we had everything we needed and even gave us treats for the goats! They were so sweet and funny and each had such a different personality… The property was...
