”Don’t be misled by the name and the pics - this place is right in town and just off a highway. No bucolic getaway this. Room was fine for our needs - but a bit tattered around the edges. We didn’t expect much for the price and were not disappointed.”

”Needs a little updating but otherwise an excellent place. Had everything that we needed for cooking and the room was very spacious. Nice location close to the beach. ”

”We had a wonderful two night stay at hotel california. We were late to check in, however was seamless for us after hours to speak to staff and get the run down, checked into the room just as the sun was setting over the vineyards. A stunning place to stay, easily located with everything you need within 10 min drive. We hired bikes from SA E Bikes and got them dropped to the property, we rode around the local wineries all day and ended our day back here to do a tasting. ”

”This isn’t the cleanest place. It’s quite old. The air conditioner was so dirty it didn’t work.”

”The property was spot on with all advertised, so clean and central to everything, Gary was a delight to deal with on check in, I’m sure we will be back and highly recommend to anyone travelling.”

”Location is perfect and area is very nice. Room is a bit outdated. Biggest reason for 3-star is the cleaning service. We stayed 7 nights and room was never cleaned properly. Only towels were changed. Some days they didn’t even make the bed.”
