Lakefront - Lake Barkley Vacation Home

Enjoy the beautiful view of the Lake and watch wildlife from the spacious covered deck or take a short walk to the beach. Situated on 4 lots and minutes away from Eddycreek Marina and Dryden Bay. Our home offers plenty of parking for guests, fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, outdoor griddle top grill for guest use, indoor/outdoor seating with plenty of space of space to spend time with your family and friends during the summer season or Holidays. During the summer season guests can enjoy swimming straight from the beach and can explore the lake in one of the kayaks provided for guest use. Guest with their own boats can anchor just off the beach for quick access to the house.

This was a wonderful place for our family gathering. We enjoyed the lakefront and the house was equipped with enough lawn chairs and lake toys for all of us. We enjoyed star-gazing at night down by the lake and s'mores around the fire pit, even in spite of the hot temps the week we were there.

Wonderful beach!

This home is perfect for a large group aiming to relax and enjoy the lake. Although in need of some repairs and deep cleaning, it is spacious and suited us well. The kitchen is very well stocked and lots of linens. The ice machine was not working during our stay, so make sure and ask about status. Lots of firewood for evening fire time and s’mores. It has numerous seating areas for games, chatting or just kicking back. The beach is nice with a gradual slope. We pulled our jet skis right up on the beach and tied them off. A very nice weekend.

Wonderful place

Beautiful home

The home was very nice however, the garage smelled horrible and that or something inside as well left the house smelling bad in the kitchen/dining/ living room area. Likely prevuous guests caused the odor. Also, the lifejackets had all been left out and laying around on ground, cleaning crew didnt seem to have straightened up outside. Owner responded quickly to messages and not much they could do about smell at that point. Overall it was a nice stay.

Family bonding

Great time with just chilling back with complete family. Swam, kayaked, fished, visited bison and elk and planetarium lazer show. We fit everyone in nicely. The game room and assortment of puzzles and games were well used. Note: bring extra toilet paper and paper towels.

Family vacation

We loved the location of the house, about everything is 20 minutes away which isn’t bad. The only thing that was kind of a bummer was the back bedroom off the bathroom, many times I would need something from our room but someone would be in the bathroom so I couldn’t access.

Good Stay, Some Issues

We had to knock down several large wasp nests on the porch/front of the house/lower part of the house. The first few hours we were there the deck was crawling with wasps. The house was clean and comfortable but the layout is a little wonky on the 1st floor with all of the bathrooms and bedrooms connecting. The access to the water was good, and they had chairs etc to use, but it is also located in a spot where several dead fish washed up and the water was pretty merky. When trying to remove a very large dead fish (3-4ft) it sunk in the swimming area, so our swimming was over from then on since the fish was decomposing.

Great Week

The property was very clean and well stocked. It was very spacious and was great for our large family. Everyone enjoyed all the games that were available to play, basketball, pool, ping pong, foosball, and PacMan. The Kayaks were in good shape and we got some use out of them. The view from the upper porch was great. We had an issue with the dishwasher, but they were very quick to respond and get the problem taken care of.

Comfy Stay

The host is very gracious to work through any minor concerns. The property is set in a relaxing quiet area with plenty to see and do. The home is very well stocked with needed items. We enjoyed kayaking and fishing from the beach after a short nature walk down the hill.

Beautiful Quiet Getaway

My students and I stayed here while participating in a local competition. We all loved the peace and quiet we got here. Beautiful house with a scenic view. I recommend this for large groups.

Family meet up!

We did a holiday family meet up with 5 different family groups and had all ages 1-75 and everyone enjoyed this home! There was plenty of space, things for the kids to do, bedding/towels and cookware! It was the perfect place to host all 22 of us!

Great stay

The property was huge and was very clean. It had everything one would need. It had a kitchen with every appliance needed. Even a crockpot. My family and I enjoyed everything about the property inside and out. I would definitely recommend.
