”Excellent room but I was right by the road with trucks passing all night. My room vibrated earthquake- like with some of them☹️”

”A lovely relaxing place, a very warm welcome .”

”We arrived just before sunset and we were greeted by a beautiful sunset. Our cabin was on absolute beach frontage so the view was unobstructed. We poured ourselves a glass of wine and sat on the deck having a relaxing evening. The kitchen area had all the necessary items to prepare a meal but all cooking had to be done in the common kitchen, just behind us. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night and the receptionist offered us a favourable discount for the second night.”

”We stayed here at the end of our trip and it was the perfect place to relax, enjoy the beautiful scenery and listen to the sounds of the surf and birds. Seth, Nuala and David all made a point of stopping by to see how we were settling in and it was lovely to read the history behind the creation of the villas. Cannot recommend this place enough - would still be there if we could ☺️”

”Grounds are immaculate. Great view of the bush/river. Comfy bed. Good water pressure. Manager was fantastic. Good location (7 mins from New Plymouth by car). Quiet, safe. Can bike safely to New Plymouth ( sidewalk to round about on state highway 3 then side street with on road cycle path). Restaurant with yummy food on site. Things that could be better: Had only one BBQ so you need to reserve it in advance. Great stay and definitely a place I would go back. ”

”This is a modern hotel, within 10 minutes walk of the center. Everything was as detailed in their own description. We were delighted to have been able to borrow their mountain style bikes to ride along the coastline cycle path.”

”Great location to explore NP and beautifully appointed. Loved the access to the gym around the corner. I thought it might be noisy being so central but didn’t hear a peep. Hope to return. ”

”I arrived late the key was in the door bed side lights and heating on A beautiful and calm retreat which was just what I needed.”
