”Amazing place! Great buffet breakfast and also an option to have the breakfast on the barrel terrace. The only minus was that I was travelling with a friend and requested to have two separate blankets. There was an extra in the closet but no cover to it. When calling again to ask for the separate blanket we were broaght 4 extra sheets but still no cover to the extra blanket. (The barrels seem to be more for couples travelling but it would be nice if the hotel would accomodate for others as well...

”Spectacular scenery. Our room with balcony was great. We sat there in the evenings with some wine and just enjoyed the landscape. Couple OK restaurants in walking distance and several wine yards close by to visit by car.”

I read some of the comments about five star hotel in previous reviews while the hotel itself may not be a five-star the staff and the service is easily five-star… I laugh at some of the comments…. if you want little slippers and matching housecoat, look like a prince and princess, then go to Palace… the meals were suburban with the first class chef from Brazil… when I came to the restaurant bar you couldn’t want more for service and quality…. awesome place for...

”The hotel had opened about a month ago, so it was very new. The location is good and the view over the Douro valley is nice, the terraces of the hotel and the rooms' balconies make it easy to enjoy it. Chairs on the room balconies would have been nice, though. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. ”Ett så fantastiskt ställe!1 timma ifrån Porto på en fridfull plats, lätt att hitta till. Poolen är fantastisk, rummen likaså. Sonen har ritat allt och mamma sköter ruljansen. Frukosten vid poolen med Dourofloden att fästa ögonen på. Wow! Vi kommer tillbaka!”
