”(Hostel in Portbou) A basic hostel. 3/5. The room was quite tidy. There were hairs in the shared wc+shower, otherwise quite tidy. The beds were ok (springmadrass), the beddings were quite sheer and had quite strong smell (due to washing powder?). The walls let through all noises from outside and other rooms. The room&house had a stale smell. The receptionists spoke rather good english. The breakfast included 2 toasts, croissant and warm drink.”

”Such a beautiful hotel with a calm & relaxed atmosphere, we were so pleased that we’d booked to stay here! Checked in by really professional and welcoming staff, we loved the convenience of parking on site and being able to opt for an apartment to give us a little more space and the opportunity to self cater if we wanted to. ”We very much enjoyed our stay ! Only downside is parking, you have to reserve your spot in the garage and this was not well indicated in our reservation details. We found parking but it was a bit of hassle at first, afterwards very easy. The staff was really great, the hotel room pleasant with a nice view from the balcony. ”Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Lovely buffet breakfast. The same area becomes a casual dining Italian restaurant in the evenings. The hotel also has a more expensive restaurant a few metres away. The spa has a dry sauna and jacuzzi. Temperature of 32oC was perhaps a little cool but possibly more appealing if the outside temperature was very warm. The room had everything for self catering but was not supplied with washing up liquid or washing cloth/sponge. A drying towel was provided....
