”This hotel was very expensive considering the location and the country. With almost 200 USD per day one would expect very good facilities and service. This was not the case. Room was very basic and there was no TV as an example. Breakfast was OK but plain and very simple. Staff mostly did not speak English.”

”It's about a 10 minute walk to Sunzal beach - so in that sense the property is very convenient for surfing. That being said, there's very little in the immediate area of the hotel, and it's about a 25-30 minute walk to El Tunco. I rented a motorcycle, so that wasn't much a problem for me.
When I was there there's was lots of construction; and there's also plenty of "banging" noise, which I think comes from something that falls out of the trees onto the tin roof of the rooms; that could be a...
