The property itself was clean and well-located, which I appreciated. However, I found some of the internal policies to be unnecessarily rigid and frustrating.
Housekeeping: I stayed for just two nights and requested housekeeping on the second day, but was told it wouldn’t be provided due to a “once-every-three-days” policy. I explained that I would be checking out before the third day and that this was not a long stay, but was still refused service. Ironically, the posted Choice Hotels policy clearly states that while rooms are cleaned every three days for extended stays, guests can request earlier service—yet this was denied.
Towel Exchange: Since housekeeping wasn’t an option, I asked for fresh towels and soap. I was told I needed to “trade in” my used towels first. I complied, but despite having four people in the room, I was initially given only three towels. It took repeated requests and some back-and-forth before they finally provided a fourth towel.
While the cleanliness and location met expectations, these internal policies and the way they were enforced detracted significantly from the overall experience. I hope management reconsiders how they implement brand standards.
