The Black Still is a new, one level, luxury cabin featuring all new high end furnishings. The gourmet kitchen is a chef's dream, with amazing space, lighting and everything you need for the perfect meal. Curl up on the large sectional sofa for your favorite show, soak in the 5 person hot tub, roast s'mores at the amazing fire pit, and enjoy restful nights on premier Nectar mattresses. Smart TVs in all rooms, games/fun for the entire family, large covered deck, and privacy to enjoy it all!
The Space:
The North Georgia Mountains offer a tranquil escape featuring apple orchards, wineries, hiking trails, waterfalls, rivers, and a number of other outdoor activities! The Black Still is 9 miles from downtown Ellijay which is the gateway to this amazing area. Ellijay provides southern charm, quaint shops, unique restaurants and a variety of wineries and adventures to enjoy!
The Black Still is located at the end of the access road, perched on the hillside, perfectly tucked away for the ultimate private escape! It got its name in honor of the Appalachian history and connection to adventure of the area. We are excited to have you as our guests!
You will arrive at the cabin via all paved roads with the exception of a very short ¼ mile gravel access road. The cabin driveway is paved for easy access and provides parking for up to three vehicles. The driveway does have some incline but is very manageable for all vehicles. The parking areas are level.
You will enter the cabin, up the stairs, from the side facing down the hill. A door code will be provided 1 day prior to your arrival and lighting is provided for access during the evening.
A unique feature of The Black Still is the entry door, which we affectionately name “hobbit” for its similar look and design to the movie Lord of the Rings. The door is shut with a magnet so you will need to apply some pressure to open.
The foyer entry is very spacious and inviting with a long hall that leads to the main living area of the cabin! Fun and adventure awaits.
To the right of the entry is the king master suite. It is very large, with black out shades, area rug, side tables, lamps, chair, dresser, and smart TV. The master bathroom features a large walk-in shower, dual vanities and separate water closet for privacy.
Just outside the bedroom is the laundry room and access to the walk-in closet with ample room for luggage, clothes and other items you have for your vacation. The closet is also accessible from the master bathroom.
Across the foyer is a hall that leads to the other two bedrooms. The one to the right is a king suite with black out shades, area rug, side tables, lamps, closet and smart TV. The king suite bathroom is a tub/shower combo with dual vanities. You can also access this bathroom from the hallway.
The queen suite bedroom is to the left at the end of the hallway. Kids will love the two arcade games, card table, smart TV and all the board games available to enjoy. They can also try their hand at a tic-tac-toe that is mounted on the wall. The suite bathroom features a tub/shower combo and single vanity. There is also a walk-in closet for clothing and storage.
The hall leading to the main living area has a shuffleboard, bar and table with two chairs.
The main living area features a gourmet kitchen that will be the envy of many. It exudes luxury, with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, large island, prep sink, farm sink, coffee bar (coffee is provided), walk-in pantry, and four bar stools.
The dining space features a live edge table with seating for six and a large chandelier for beautiful lighting. The tri folding doors provide a beautiful view of the professionally landscaped yard and fire pit area creating a large opening to enjoy the sights and sounds of mother nature.
The living room is so inviting with a plush sectional sofa, thick/soft area rug, swivel chairs, side table, lamps, coffee table, gas fireplace and large smart TV. There is also an exquisite desk in case you need to connect with the outside world.
Just off the living space is a large covered deck. It has outdoor seating with a sofa, two swivel chairs, coffee table, smart TV, five person hot tub, dining table for six and Weber Spirit II grill. The kitchen has a very convenient pass through window to the dining area.
A family favorite is the stone fire pit area. It has a separate section with lounge chairs and six Adirondack chairs to enjoy smores or reminisce about the day's adventures. It backs up to woods providing exceptional privacy and relaxation.
The Black Still is unique in that everything is on one level with no interior stairs to maneuver. The back entry only has a couple of stairs for those that may have some mobility issues.
The cabin also offers a EVIPOWER electric car charger level 2 is equipped with heavy duty rubberized SAE J1772 connector compatible with all EVs / PHEVs in NA: all Tesla models, Chevy Bolt, Chevy Volt, VW ID 4, Nissan Leaf, Polestar 2, Ford Mach E, IONIQ 5/6, Kia Nino, EV6, EV9, Mercedes EQS, Audi, Rav4, Jeep Wrangler 4xe level 2 charger (This is J1772 level 2 charger, Tesla adapter provided).

Guest Access:
Access is via keyless entry. A check-in code will be provided 1 day prior to arrival. Checkout code will be provided the day before with instructions.
The entire cabin is available to the guest with the exception of the owners closet
The Neighborhood:
The Black Still is located just off Highway 76, 9 miles from downtown Ellijay. Access is via all paved roads with the exception of the short, well maintained, gravel road from the highway to the cabin that is less than a ¼ mile. The driveway to the cabin is fully paved with parking for up to three vehicles.

Other properties are in the neighborhood. We ask that you please respect the owners privacy and comply with private property signs.
Trash and Litter:
Trash pickup service is provided on Monday. If the trash cans are full upon arrival, please contact the property management office. All trash must be bagged and placed into the two trash cans provided. Our nature friends love to make a mess when this is not done and the trash companies will not pick up loose trash. Also, if you exceed the capacity of the trash cans before pickup it is your responsibility to remove and take to the disposal locations at:

Quiet time:
Please keep your noise to a minimum between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. both inside and outside. This includes the hot tub, fire pits and porches. Sound travels easily in the mountains and can disturb unseen guests.
