”We had a lovely view to the sea from our sixth floor room. Hiking path to Aksla started from the backyard of the hotel. Lovely staff. Good sauna. Location great for us. The breakfast had it all! The best stay ever! ”
”Charming hotel in a historical building, with nice interior. Very good, friendly service. Excellent breakfast. The only little downside was the motion-sensor lighting in the bathroom, which did not recognice a person sitting on the toilet. But that was a very small minus.”
”Absolutely beautiful hotel, a real treasure! I don't understand why anyone would want to go an ordinary chain hotel when they can overnight in 1904! I got good value for my money, a really beutiful room. The breakfast was also excellent and rich. It is situated quite near to the steps to Mount Aksla, in the middle of the shopping area. Everything is done with the best possible taste!”
”My family stayed 1 night at Alnes Gard during our trip to Norway. We stayed here as a base to see Alesund and so glad we did! This place is a lovely little gem and we had fun exploring the small island. We saw lovely rainbows, experienced a beautiful ocean sunset, and went on a great hike! Would highly recommend this place! ”
”Very good hotel with friendly staff and compared to other hotels reasonably priced! We had an accesible room which was very roomy. The free dinner during the week was discontinued for summer break which was a pity. There were dining options in walking distance where you got 10% off food.
Breakfast was very extensive but if you came a little later, not all options were still available.
Cleanliness was good except the floor of the breakfast room which was sticky all of the 3 days we stayed...
”Asunnon sijainti oli erinomainen. Parkkipaikka autolle löytyi läheltä. Asunto oli siisti ja toimiva muuten, mutta kolmelle majoittujalle olisi saanut olla vähän enemmän tilaa matkatavaroille. Esimerkiksi pari hyllyä seinällä olisi auttanut tilannetta. Nyt meinasi olla vähän ahdasta. Hyvä majoituspaikka. Jos matkustajia olisi ollut vaina kaksi, olisi toiminut paremmin.”
”Although the check-in process was not as expected (we met someone on the corner street after calling being unable to find the location) our appartment was extremely lovely, clean and overall perfect. Felt like we underpaid for what was delivered compared to more expensive options in the city and other stops on our trip. ”
