Cute hotel, but checking in was a major issue. I will say that the lady at the front desk was kind, and I don't know the source of the problems. But, it took an hour from the time I arrived (at 9pm) to the time I was actually in a room with my things unloaded. Desk clerk could not find my reservation and said I would have to pay again for a room (even though I prepaid through Hotels.com). She eventually found my reservation, so I am not sure why it was not initially in the system. She did not know which rooms were actually booked (said the system was messed up/new staff did things incorrectly) and initially gave me a room with people in it. Thankfully, she had walked my son and I to the room, since she did not know if it was occupied. After she let me into a new empty room she went back to make a new key. I waited for at least 20 minutes, and eventually had to go back to the office to track down my key. All of this with a 1-year-old in-tow and my car parked at the office, not yet unloaded.
Also, the TV did not work and there were a few things that did not get cleaned from the previous stay (strawberries in the fridge and towel in the bathroom). I appreciate that the clerk tried her best, but unfortunately, the check in experience really put a damper on this stay. The free breakfast they offer at the little diner is nice though!
