Chalet't – English Riviera

”The hotel is only about a year old so the building and all the fittings and furniture are in as-new condition. The staff were all cheerful and a delight to work with. The food was good both breakfast and the evening meals. The location right on the foreshore is attractive with lovely views of the sunrise but it is well away from the centre of Torquay. When I arrived Google maps had the location 300 metres too close to the main part of Torquay so you need to check this before setting a route.”

Muutenkin Englannin Riviera on aika huonossa kunnossa”

”There was a wedding party which I was advised before I arrived. The hotel called me to confirm this which I was happy with. They brought the evening meals to the room which was very enjoyable. I have no issues with this whatsoever. They kept me informed. ”

”Love staying here. Lovely room with a balcony, huge bed and spotlessly clean. Staff are really nice and food is fabulous and hot. Lovely setting and so quiet. Ground floor rooms available”

”Room immaculate, Staff fantastic, Parking so easy and plenty, Breakfast 5☆”

”We are regular visitors to the Grand, and after a dip around a year ago, are pleased to say the breakfasts are back as good as ever. Our room had been recently decorated and with the exception of loose shelf in the bathroom was in a great condition.”

”A unique historical Boutigue style Inn. Excellent Food, location and very pleasant & helpfull staff”

”Perfect location”

”Excellent location, spacious room, great breakfast, beautiful balcony with amazing views, and more importantly very nice and helpful staff 🙏👏”

”Lovley clean room and bathroom. 2nd floor room with quite steep stairs, no lift so beware if you are not very agile! Room 6 is basically in the roof, OK in winter but would be very warm in summer and noisy with gulls around as overlooking the other rooftops. Toilet had a macerator which was noisy and didn't quite flush properly once or twice - wouldn't like that again! Loose dog in the hallway when I came back from walk- barking and growling so rang bell for owner to come out. It was owner's...

”Staff were welcoming / friendly. Hotel/furnishings are old, tired and not very clean. Did not sleep well due to loud humming air conditioning unit outside our room which kept us awake all night. Parking included. Whilst not expecting much for the price, we had hoped we would be able to get some sleep! Staff are the best asset to this hotel.”

”Room was spacious with large tv. T8ssue and part of hairbrush behind large table. Missing fixings in shower and shower bowl filled up with water. Curtain rail was missing fixing. Bed was comfortable and nice view of sea. Be prepared for a 20mins walk down a steep hill to town centre. Hydro baths were nice”

”Set in beautiful grounds was lovely to sit at the top of the gardens with a glass of wine taking in the view. Nice room, not particularly big. Everything was well maintained and very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was great both evening and breakfast. Would definitely stay again if in the area.”
