Glacier / Essex Carriage House - 3 km päässä Izaak Walton Inn

Rajautuva Glacierin kansallispuisto, Flathead-joen keskihaaru ja Suuri Karhun erämaa tarjoavat vaunutalosta loistavan tukikohdan perhelomalle. Olemme saman etäisyyden välillä itäisen ja lännen jäätikön kansallispuiston sisäänkäyntien välillä.
Vaunutalossa on kaksi kerrosta. Tässä kerroksessa on myös kylpyhuone, queen-size-makuuhuone ja pesukone ja kuivaaja. Toinen kerros on parvi-tyyppinen tila, jossa on queen-size-asuntovuode, joka helposti piiloutuu tilavaan oleskelu- / viihdealueelle. Täysikokoinen keittiö, joka sisältää ruokailunurkkauksessa näkymät Kalliovuorille. Kätevästi tässä kerroksessa on toinen puoli kylpy. Kaksi parveketta, toinen peitetty propaanigrillillä ja pienellä pöydällä, ja toinen suoraan edestä, tarjoavat rentouttavan alueen kahvia varten aamulla. Talvella käpertyä sisätilan takan ympärille, kevätkesällä ja syksyllä nauti täysin varustetusta ulkotulosta. Muita mukavuuksia ovat langaton internet, TV ja tietyt matkapuhelinten kantoaallot toimivat alueella.
Historiallinen Izaak Walton Inn vieressä, ravintola, baari ja hoidettu hiihto. Lähistöllä olevia suosittuja villieläin nähtävyyksiä ovat mm. Goat Lick Overlook, retkeilyreitit, koskenlasku koskenlaskuun, kalastus, golf, helikopterikiertomatkat, Apgar, kuuluisa McDonald-järvi, Logan Pass / Going the Sun Road, Monet Glacier.

Beautiful

This carriage house was beautiful well beyond the pictures. It was clean and cozy. The scenery was breathtaking. Everything that was said would be provided was and more. It was easy to communicate with the owners who gave us a welcome hello when we arrived as well as welcome gifts in the house. I would definitely recommend staying at this beautiful place.

This was the perfect getaway for our 40th anniversary trip. Equal distance between west and east entrance so we explored both sides. Roz met us upon arrival - property was clean - instructions were easy to get there - just an excellent trip.

Making Memories!

My wife and I so enjoyed the Carriage House! Everything we needed was provided for a wonderful five night stay. We loved the decor and the cabin feel. Tucked away off Hwy 2 in just enough woods to get that secluded feel, but still close enough to get where we wanted to go. Roz greeted us upon arrival to make sure our accommodations were just right. A true home away from home. Very nice!

Cozy stargazing cabin

I cannot put into words how amazing our stay was! The cabin is equipped with everything you need to enjoy your vacation to Glacier. The bed is soooo soft, the wooden decor is beautiful, and there are plenty of board games to play while you enjoy the quiet forest. The scenery is stunning. My partner and I stargazed every night and even saw the Milky Way and so many shooting stars that we lost count. Amazing place to feel peace and solitude. We will be back!

Baker visit

My wife and I had owned and managed a vacation rental and we understand the trials of that business and we appreciate every thing they do to make our stay comfortable and worry free. And they did - our home away from home. The first day we had a problem with a flat tire and the helped us get back to our vacation with hardly any time lost. My wife loves a clean place and their rental exceeded her expectations which is very difficult for most to do. At the age of 76 we are knocking off a number of our bucket list items so we probably won’t returned to glacier again but if we did we would return here.

Cozy Stay

Cozy place set back from a main highway/road. Directions given by host to get to the home were very helpful. There was plenty of necessities on the property (towels, kitchen utensils, hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner, etc). The wifi worked pretty well. The stay was about 1 hour from east glacier NP and 35 mins from west glacier. Very hospitable host, would stay here again!

Highly recommend this cozy haven in the woods!!

Our family absolutely loved our stay in this wonderful carriage house! We were thankful to be in the middle of both the east and west sides of Glacier National Park so we could easily go both places. The space was super clean and very warm and inviting. Roz was always so responsive to my questions - she honestly could not have been more accommodating. One of our all-time favorite vacation rentals for sure!

Nice place.

Clean, beautiful construction, very secluded (but trains passing 24 hours a day only a few yards away). Great place for maximum of 4 people. Centrally located for both East and West park entrance although still a fair drive away. All amenities for cooking. Would definitely stay here again. Hosts very kind and accommodating.

Exceptionally clean and conveniently located to both west and east entrances to Glacier National Park. Master bedroom and full bath on ground level with kitchen, 1/2 bath, and living space located upstairs. Taller folks might find kitchen space somewhat uncomfortable to work in and regular rail traffic nearby are the only downsides to this fantastic home base for a great Glacier NP getaway! We’d definitely stay here again and enthusiastically recommend to others!

This is the clearest place I’ve ever stayed. And the supplies available to you are endless. It’s a very convenient secluded area right in between the east and west entrance’s of Glacier National Park. Roz and Mike are great host.

We took the train to the Essex, MT station, had a Turo waiting there and drove the 2 miles to this beautiful location. The carriage house was simple and welcoming. The host had great personal touches. Because this is halfway from the St. Mary's and West Glacier entrances to the park we had our pick everyday of where to go.

Lovely cabin in the woods

We greatly enjoyed our time at Roz's and Mike's place. Roz welcomed us when we arrived, but after that, they allowed us plenty of privacy, though let us know we could contact them at any time if we had questions. The place was spotless when we arrived, and we appreciated the amenities (including the grill, which we used one night). Although the downstairs bedroom and bathroom were on the cool side, the wall heaters worked well and heated everything up quickly. Similarly, the peace and quiet of the forest were wonderful, even with the train coming through at regular intervals (sometimes). All in all, it's a great place, and we'd definitely stay there again. :)

Trip to Glacier National Park

Property was very well maintained. Everything was clean and there was a nice welcome basket. Excellent location for visiting Glacier National Park. Although the rental was attached to another home had a lot of privacy amd never noticed the home owners. It is near railroad tracks but it was not an issue. Would definitely stay here again.
