”The resort had nice rooms with good amenities. The check in and out Staff were pretty stiff and seemed not to be enjoying their jobs. No smiles at greetings or check out. The guys who drove us to our room was excellent and friendly. We counted over a 100 steps to carry our bags up to check out and it would of been nice to offer a ride back up the steep incline. The girl who check us out said it wasn't an option.”

”Do not stay here! Property is in shambles. Bar not open. Safe didnt work. Gave us another room, safe didnt work. Lobby furniture is dirty and carpets are worn and stained. Villa area is a home for ferrel cats. Pool area dirty. Looks like no repairs or upkeep since hurricane. Didn't feel safe walking the property. Expedia should remove this hotel from their site. ”

”Everything here was excellent, including the staff, the facilities, the room, the view from the room, the food in the restaurants, the pool, the available water toys (kayak, hobbies, ) and the very attention to details that convey that sense of luxury (ie the shampoo, the towel, the soap, the amazing bedding, etc). They are trying to keep the sargassum away with a barrier and partially succeeding at keeping it under control. The beach is relatively small and facing east.”

”Great views. Steps. Steps steps. Not good for seniors that don’t like steps, bathroom need work. Wall air conditioner was almost are loud as a lawnmower needs a new one !!”

”I had a wonderful stay. The property was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. The area was peaceful and quiet, making it a very relaxing experience. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay.”

”When checking in the type of room we had was going to be hard for 3 other people I was with to do stairs. Not only did they hunt me down to tell me they found the same type of room but with less stairs to climb. They are always there to help you with whatever problem comes up. Getting around is no problem since they have golf carts to take you to wherever you need to go.”

”This is a small, quaint hotel run by locals in the style of a hostel. We arrived way early and were allowed to swim in the pool for a few hours which was great! The common area is a great place to meet others, and the staff was very nice. We were very happy with this authentic stay and would return.”

”I have traveled multiple Westin Properties. Given the current conditions of the USA, it is understandable of the difficulties these resorts face. However, this was not an all inclusive resort. The quality of food and cocktails were very reminiscent of all inclusive. But we’re NOT an all inclusive price. ”

”Our condo and the property and staff were amazing. We had a wonderful time. We also recommend renting the dinghy boats next to the condo. My husband and I rented a 15ft and it handled wonderfully. We snorkled at John and it was wonderful.”

”I had a 3day stay at Islam view and the service was exceptional. The staff members were all friendly, polite and attentive. I had an issue with my room location and they addressed it and changed it immediately. The stake-house was amazing (a bit pricey, but worth it). I would recommend this spot to solo travelers because I felt safe on the property.
