”The view was beautiful. It was a view of an ocean and a small mountain. It was very peaceful and surreal. The room was very clean and equipped with everything that we needed. Staff was friendly and helped us find a cab. I was able to walk to Lindberg Bay Beach from the hotel. Nearby were beach activities like jet ski, boats and the taco bar. The hotel is right across the street from the airport and I was able to walk to the hotel, so that saved me money not having to get a taxi. One unfortunate...

”This place is a budget hotel near the downtown and airport. If you want to be near the beach pick one of the many resort hotels. When they say they have parking it is street parking but there was usually a spot not too far from the hotel. Street is very crowded so if you drive make sure you’re comfortable on small streets and parallel parking etc. The breakfast was either pancakes bacon or sausage or eggs your way toast and sausage or bacon. ”It’s was an okay stay. The air worked just fine when there was power being that they run off solar panels, the parking was a little struggle one being on a hill and also other business parking in the same area. Again it was not horrible the location was perfect just too man steps just to get to your room and the parking. ”

”Power went out often on the island, a generator is needed at this property. Out flight was cancelled and we lost a day. I was told we would get credit for that but haven’t received confirmation of that yet. Location is okay, taxi service is a few blocks away, restaurants close. Not sure if I’d return or recommend at this time, still waiting on owner to honor his verbal agreement. But no matter what, a generator is desperately needed to protect a quality experience. ”

”The room was very clean and had great amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly. The space is beautiful and charming. Bartender and Restaurant staff were exceptional and the food was amazing. My only piece of feedback would be to add some lounge chairs near the pool. But next time I come back to St Thomas there is no doubt I’m staying at Hotel 1829! ”

”Everything was nice. The room was beautiful, and the property was very well kept. Short walk to Megan's Bay Beach. The little cafe onsite was very expensive, but so was everything else in St. Thomas. Ms. Barbara was extremely nice and made sure that we were well taken care of during our stay.”

”I’ve stayed here many times already it’s always my to go whenever visiting st Thomas. Only thing I would recommend is faster service at the restaurant the food is great just takes forever to get any request from server. I also would love if they updated the hotel itself so much more potential if rooms were remodeled ”

”Clean room, attentive staff. The only thing i frowned upon was the breakfast food because everything, from the eggs to the bacon to the waffles tasted like fish. Perhaps the cooking oil used was previously used in cooking fish. Overall, I would 100% recommend this place to stay. It’s also economically friendly. ”
