”Very nice cottage. Comfortable with all desired amenities. Great place to get away and feel closer to the surroundings. Only caution is on warm days, the cottage has no AC and can get very warm.”

”Very nice and cozy cottage. Could've been a little more clean (some dusty areas and especially the dishes were pretty dirty). Sadly no spices or oil to cook with, i think should be part of a well equipped kitchen. Maybe also provide 1 more towel for each guest for convenience. There was no second key in the cottage as told before but the rest of the communication was fine. Very nice spot for northern lights watching. Would come back.”

”Lovely cabin :well appointed: comfortable bed. But long drive from town 28km and half of it is (currently) a gravel road. It’s a beautiful place. We walked across field to waterfall. Views of the volcano. Nice respite but know you have a drive from the highway/town”

”The accommodation looked exactly like the photos and was spotless. It was located right next to Kerið Crater, making it easy and convenient to step outside at night to watch the northern lights. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the hot tub, which was a bit disappointing. It’s definitely a place we would love to stay at again and highly recommend to others.”

”This was a great place to stay. We had our family, 10 of us, and we all enjoyed ourselves. Out of 5 places we stayed this was the kids favorite. Plenty of room and great hot tub. We found everything that we needed for our stay from all kitchen items to fans. I am a very picky sleeper. Normally on vacation I don't sleep well and usually can't wait to get in my own bed. Not here. I slept like a baby. I even pulled up the bedding to see if I could see the mattress brand incase it is possible to get...

”We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The only downside was that it felt a bit chilly, and we couldn’t find any instructions on how to adjust the heating. The property is quite remote, so we strongly recommend using a 4x4 vehicle to avoid getting stuck in a snowstorm, as we nearly did. Despite this, we highly recommend this property—it’s a fantastic place to stay!”

”If you like being out of the way Afternoon Cottages is a great jumping off point for adventuring. It is well equipped and very clean. It has a great price point and very basic. It worked great for us because it was simply a place to cook dinner and sleep. You have access to all the necessities about 25 minutes away in Hella. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.”
