”We are from Lake Charles and chose to do a staycation this year with a new baby! This camp was the perfect place for our little family. We enjoyed hanging out and cooking in the yard near the water while the kids played, night fishing off the dock, fishing in Big Lake, and cooling off inside while still having the perfect view of the lake! ”We were in town for a family wedding and had a lovely and comfortable stay near the venue, and added bonus that it’s near Rip Van Winkle Gardens. The two cabins were great to accommodate our family and small dogs. They came equipped with everything that you would need while traveling (e.g., great water pressure, A/C, dishwasher, laundry, hair dryer, coffee and coffee maker, etc.). ”We had a family fishing trip to Fourchon and stayed here. Easy drive to the fishing charter and beautiful scenery to sit outside and relax afterwards. Location and camp well-kept. Sofa bed could be more comfortable, but we made it work. Overall, would stay again. Also, be sure to support your local fishermen and buy from the shrimpers down the road. Beautiful shrimp!”
