The Menger is THE PLACE to visit San Antonio. 100' feet from the Alamo the staff dedication to the upkeep of this 150 yearold hotel is admirable. Clean. Kind staff. There are fancier facilities nearby, but the Menger is our only home in San Antonio. ”

”This was a one night stay. We’ve stayed there before, and one of the reasons we keep coming back is mainly the cleanliness. Unfortunately, this time around it wasn’t so clean. The towels didn’t smell clean. One even had a red dot stain…ugh! The corners of the walls in the bedroom needed some cleaning. Staff was courteous, and had no problems w checking in or out. Will definitely be thinking twice about staying there next time we visit San Antonio. ”

”Parking isn’t included, paid 33 dollar for 12 hour parking next to hotel. Which was unfortunate but not the hotels fault. Breakfast was really good, workers friendly. Rooms clean just smaller than expected. But great walking distance from the Alamo which is the main reason we traveled to San Antonio. ”

”The room was comfortable but the room needs updates. There was a large crack on wall. The door was not set properly so you could see light coming under door. The grounds are beautiful & well kept & it was really close to beach so we went a couple of times a day. The staff was friendly & the drinks & entertainment were good. The restaurants need to update menu but there's plenty of restaurants near by. I would stay again but only if under $150 a night. ”

”Had a room with a kitchen. EVERYTHING down to a wisk was provided. Room was very clean. New beds. Full size table with 4 chairs. Pool was clean. Not happy the ice machine didnt work. Could see light completly around the door. A/C went out the door. Still a great place to stay overall.”
