”There is some renovation, but nothing to inconvenience you. Beautiful Inn, nice dining area, pool, hot tub and exeercise facility. Very friendly staff. Great continental breakfast included. Close proximity to everything.”

”This hotel is in a decent location, tucked away and quiet but near stores. And we appreciated the free breakfast. But that's it for positives. The beds weren't very comfortable, overall it wasn't very clean, and the hotel was completely inflexible about charging us for two days even though we had to change our plans and only stayed one day. So we paid extra for a pretty dumpy hotel. A helpful and flexible management would have gone a long way toward us overlooking imperfections.”

”Everything was great. A warning that the shower water takes a while to warm up would be helpful but otherwise all was well. We were on the third floor. I’m not sure if that makes a difference with the plumbing.”

”Absolute gem on the edge of.downtown. super walkable everywhere in terms of shopping, and within a 5 min drive to less pricier food options away from downtown. Jessica was an amazing and gracious host. The oatmeal with maple syrup, apples and walnuts was the quintessential Vermont start to the day. So many unique touches in terms of aesthetics made it feel homey yet held to the character of a nearly 200 year old home. Stay here.”

”We have stayed here on multiple occasions, and overall we would recommend the INN ON THE RIVER to anyone wishing to explore and experience the Woodstock/Queche Vermont area. The atmosphere and decor of the inn is topnotch. There is some maintenance/upkeep work to be done on the inn's exterior wooden structures, especially at the back of the inn facing the river (re:sanding and re-staining). Also, the breakfast is lacking a fresh fruit mix assortment (melons, berries grapes, etc). Otherwise,...
