Parking was extremely easy. Close to everything in the town, walking everywhere in the town is so easy and there are a lot of great dining options nearby as well as two grocery stores. If you have any mobility issues, be aware that there are a lot of stairs to access the property.”

”South Iceland Guesthouse was a great stop for the price! Situated on a beautiful farm underneath the mountains, it was gorgeous scenery all around. Our room was very small but clean and beds were comfortable. The shared bathrooms were good sized and clean. The family restaurant across the street was delicious!”

”This was our second stay in a year’s time. If you don’t know what to expect, you may be surprised. It’s an old boarding school, so it has a cool factor. It feels like you’ve stepped back in time because everything looks original. The rooms are old but clean and have a bed, table, and sink. The bathrooms are down the hall, old but clean as well. ”Every bedroom came with clean sheets and towels; every bedroom had it's own bathroom/shower. There was a common dining area and kitchen, and we were welcome to use any of the kitchen equipment to prepare other meals outside the complimentary breakfast. Coffee was strong and proper. The location was out in farm country, very picturesque. Enjoy walking along the fencing and see the sheep and horses graze. Just be aware once you get off the main highway, the road is completely composed of gravel...
