”Our stay in this cozy loft was great! It was well equipped and plenty of room for two of us traveling. Everything was clean and comfortable. It is a clever and efficient use of this loft space. The location was great. An easy walk to downtown, and the transportation center. With the bus system we were able to explore without the need of a rental car. Check in was easy and communication was great.Would definitely stay again.”

13. Arctic getaway at the heart of Fairbanks

College

”The stay was great and the host was the best. We stayed at this lovely VRBO for 2 weeks while we waited for the keys to our home and it has a big drive way and spacious open floor plan. We needed some supplies while staying and the host had them delivered by the property manager and it really helped our stay. Having a 2 month old and 3 year old we had our hands full already and they lightened the load and made us feel comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and will point family to this location...

”Great little home away from home in Alaska! The house was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our host was wonderful and communication was excellent. And apparently she has connections with Mother Nature—she even arranged for it to start snowing just as we arrived! 🤣❄️ Now THAT’S an Alaskan welcome! We had a great stay and would happily stay again.”

”This was the perfect getaway for my partner and I. It was small but quite comfortable! We only used the shared bathhouse for restroom needs, which was clean for the most part but as the water was running, we did notice a sulfur smell. Not sure if this is normal for the area or for how the vacation homes are set up, but something to be aware of. Overall, it was a great experience and I also want to mention that the bed was THE most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept on while on vacation! ”

17. Northern Lights Retreat • Cozy Fairbanks Stay

Fairbanks, AK

”We had 5 adults and enjoyed the house, which was clean and nicely appointed, Our main comment involves the lack of adequate kitchen dishes/cups/glasses/utensils. Most rentals have an abundance of these, but we barely had enough for each meal and thus had to run the dishwasher several times over the 2 days we were there. (Also, we couldn't find a cutting board -- a key for people who like to cook.) Outfitting the kitchen a bit more extensively would be helpful. Also, our crew had some...
