”Horrendous. Oven was so dirty it couldn't be used. Room has one mug, one towel, one pillow - two of us staying. Dirty sponges left at the sink, clearly used multiple times. Bed was horrific, worst mattress I've ever slept on, very old, bed falling apart, not even a full size double. Husband and I are very average in size I had to try and sleep either end of the bed - didn't help due to the noise of other residents all night. Fridge not cleaned, food still in there from last person.Young men...

”Stayed at Darwin House and the experience was pretty poor. The room I originally booked was already being used by another guest, with her belongings everywhere, so I was moved to Room 1. The phone number provided for help wasn't even in service at the time. The property itself is filthy - the room was just about liveable for one night, but I didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the sheets. It feels more like a bedsit or HMO than proper guest accommodation. The rooms smell strongly of mould and...

”Very noisy until early hours of the morning arguing within the building which was intimidating and frightening. No cups or cutlery in room 1 small hand towel to shower with signage outside very confusing booked for 2 nights only stayed one found other accommodation elsewhere most certainly would NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY”

”Horrible room, dirt and grime everywhere. Sticky floor. Bed clearly just remade after previous guests or squatters, black hairs and pubes. Bed cushion had ominous stains! Slept fully clothed! No WiFi code despite being the selling point and even requesting it. Was told to let them know if arriving after 9pm or they couldn’t help with anything, which I did, but no response to wifi question! Weird selection of a couple of old forks, bowls, mug and the kettle didn’t work and smelled like someone...

”Booked on the day and confirmation came through. On arrival at the property I hadn’t received the access code. After several phone calls and a chat with a Virtual Assistant. It transpired that the room was occupied. Expedia when contacted apologised and said It would be resolved in the next 72 hours.Thiis is of no help when you need a room at the time VERY DISAPPOINTING. Still awaiting resolution and refund”
