Booked my room through Expedia, when we got there to check in there is a notice that the pool and hot tub are closed for reservations. Hotel staff say I can't cancel my room with a refund without Expedia doing it. Can't get ahold of anyone and chat is worthless if the reservation is current? Won't let me do anything until reservation is complete. Will never book through Expedia or at a travelodge again if this is how they do business. In addition to the pool issue, check in was easy, hotel could be cleaner. Lots of cereal spilled on stairs that was there the whole weekend. Hotel stunk but honestly not sure if it was paint smells or something else. White bedspreads were stained so we pulled them off and threw on the floor for weekend. Beds were extremely hard, and we felt like we had slept on the floor the next morning. TV's sucked, had a hard time finding anything to watch that actually came in clearly. No USB plugs anywhere, TV or lights/outlets which I'm not used to in hotels anymore. Also no alarm clocks in rooms. And last but not least, guest overheard staff talking about bed bugs. When we questioned desk clerk he lied and said that nobody said anything bed bugs. Asked to speak to manager, he wasn't there and front desk didn't know when he would be back. Questioned another employee about what room had bed bugs and was told a guest claimed to have found one but didn't show mànager and when they inspected room didn't find one. We checked our room and didn't see any.
