”Overall, great stay!!! Pre-stay communication was spot-on with the info provided. Not that the hosts could do anything about it, but the weather was spectacular. Proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway is outstanding. The cabin itself is well appointed and cozy. It has a great variety of kitchen ware, I did not need anything extra with a 3 night stay and making all my food there at the cabin. The bed was so comfortable (downstairs) and the tub was a treat. Would 100% stay again”

”Very kid friendly and comfortable. A steep walk down to the lake, but the walkway was well maintained. Fire pit was great. We really enjoyed our stay. Amazingly large wrap around covered porch with lots of seating.”

”The cabin was all that I could have wished for. Clean, inviting, and yes! Very cozy. Less than a mile from the state park & plenty of places nearby to visit. We opted to stay in the downstairs “master suite”, the first floor full size bed was simply too soft for us. Loved the back porch with gas grill & fire pit. Spent lots of quality time there. TV reception iffy in the evenings but not an issue for us.”

”This is a brand new house set-up for family gatherings. The basement has its own tv and pool table for the late night crowd. Upstairs has the same tv setup w nice kitchen table and good kitchen for group cooking. Upstairs bedrooms are both nice. All bedrooms have walkin showers. The stairs getting to the lake are steep so care is needed there. Overall a grwat place for us.”

”This is a beautiful cabin, as advertised, gorgeous area, total and complete seclusion, yet close enough to anything you need. My fiancée and I stayed there for a long holiday weekend, and took in the Aurigid meteor shower, with a front row seat that you literally have to see to believe. I have seen multiple meteor showers in my life, but absolutely nothing compares to the vantage point of this cabin. Hikes, nature, roaring fires every night, romance, it is absolute paradise. The worst part...

”This stay was nothing short of perfect, in large part due to Melba and her family were incredible hosts. My husband and I drove up from TN for a family reunion, and loved having a place to stay all to ourselves. The location was great--only about 20 minutes to where we needed to go in any direction. Melba even gave us permission to go look at their new baby goats, which absolutely made my day. I cannot wait to come back! I will mention that it does get bright as the sun rises, and the best is...

”Our stay at the remote cabin was enjoyable and comfortable. The amenities furnished helped make our stay relaxing. There was nothing lacking. We woke to a chilly 38 degrees outside but the cabin was warm. Pat is a fine host! Glad we had a truck to cross the small stream on our way up to the cabin.”
