”This house is in a great location. It's very convenient to restaurants in downtown Roanoke. The beds were comfy. The couches aren't the ones pictured. The current couches are short, 2 seater loveseats.”

”Unfortunately, there weren’t as many beds/rooms as listed so we weren’t able to stay there comfortably and ended up leaving. There were only two rooms. There was one room with a queen bed, one room with a bunk bed and a twin bed, and then a sofa couch in the living room. There was also a hallway that had a chair bed that we were asked to help bring in. We had six adults and two kids and could not fit in this home comfortably. ”We had originally booked the studio apt for Jan 9 to visit an elderly parent - a family emergency came up and we had to move our visit to as soon as possible - the owner kindly allowed us to transfer the booking to an earlier date, the 5th (the day after my distressed call) at the cottage instead so other family members could stay as well. Owner is not local, so apparently did not know that the cottage was not quite prepared for guests- it was clean, but not stocked and had some repairs going...

”We had a wonderful stay at Smith Mountain Lake! The home was spacious and inviting, and access to the water was great! We rented a Pontoon boat for the week from Indian Point Marina. The beds were soft and cozy, and we slept really well. The kitchen was well appointed and made family meal time enjoyable. The decks and views were so relaxing. The mature trees provided shade for the outdoor space without obstructing the view. Just the right amount of privacy! We will definitely stay here...
