”The room I booked not at all what we were offered. Booked off a 8.0 rating and amazing photos of new remodeled non smoking room. Restaurant lounge and arcade were listed .. nowhere to be found. As we pulled in we immediately regretted our booking. This was a rent by the hour type hotel. Trying to stay positive, we went in to view the inside .. there are no words to describe what we say. ”We stayed at the Shelby Inn overnight Easter Sunday night, after a day of fishing at the lake spillway. The Inn looks to be a mansion in pictures, but it is also what might have been an upgraded 1950s single floor motor lodge, as well as a two story lodging building next door. Our king room was in the 2 story building, on the top floor. On the day of our arrival, we got the assigned room number and an access code for the door. ”The hotel was older and lots of little things wrong, but nothing terrible. Beds were clean and comfortable, breakfast was decent but limited. We just needed a place that we could stop overnight on a long trip with our dog and this place was perfect for that and a good price. We would stop there again, but it’s not nice enough for a vacation stay of several days. ”

” Carpet was filthy and the room wasn't as nice as pictures made it out to be. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful when we asked for an ironing board and iron.”

”The pool was indoor yet too cold to swim, the hot tub is filled in for a garden, the sauna was not working. Room was very old and mattress was like laying on springs. Ceiling had alot of dried water damage and I found bugs in the bathroom. Staff were very nice and kind. Wouldn't recommend this stay. Id give it 1 star.”

”When I booked my reservation, I knew this was an economy hotel therefore, my expectations weren't high. However, this place was substandard, even for and economy motel. To start with, the clerk at check in was bored. While she was polite, it was obvious that she would have preferred to be someplace else. When I checked into my room, I noticed there were no coat hangers on the rack. While I didn't really mind, because I didn't need them, to me it was a basic sign of neglect. The next thing...
