”There is "no" ac .. I think they won't allow guests to use it until after April 1st It was 97 degrees, this is just not acceptable .. DC is known to be hot and humid. AC is a non negotiable for most people”

”Our main issue was that there were no drawers whatsoever in the room. Secondly, even with all the lights turned on, the room was dark. Unless we were sleeping, this was frustrating. I wish they had a coffee bar, since the restaurant was typically busy. We finally received maid service the day before we left - however, they didn't replace the coffee mugs.”

”I stayed at the AKA White House for just one night, and since it's an apartment hotel, my room was huge, as large or larger than my own condominium. It was beautifully furnished with a full kitchen, a powder room, washer/dryer, and closed off bedroom with full bath/shower. I was hardly able to enjoy all the amenities in a single night's stay, but I was impressed and the space was very clean. My only suggestion is that the shower/bath get updated, since it has a sliding door that's a bit...

”Positive things first: location is great (near metro and whole foods, walking distance to Georgetown, DuPont circle etc.), the room was big and had a real kitchen. Some of the staff members were super nice and helpful and some were not. But the room was not only really outdated but partially almost falling apart. And the cleaning was also so and so or then the room was just so worn-out that it just looked dirty no matter how much cleaning was done. Not going back before major renovations. ”

”Old, worn down hotel with very uninspired people. The first room I was given was terrible quality and so loud with street noise it was impossible to sleep. I was forced to pay for an upgrade to a "club" floor, which is basically the same room but comes with free soda, as it was the only room available that wasn't facing the street. IMO I should not have been charged for that. Overall this is a 2-star hotel and I would avoid it if you can find any other options. It's about a 30min walk to...

”Love staying here. Little surprise when they charged me extra $80 and was told $60 was for parking. Wish i knew ahead of time .. pool is also really strong with chemicals and made lungs burn but otherwise we really enjoyed it. Room was so nice and home-y. The shower was amazing.
