”Specifically requested quiet location since we are seniors and traveling long distance. Property is on a 4 lane, busy, noisy route with a car repair service directly behind rooms. No staff member on property. Communication via text or phone call.”

”The room was very nice and clean. There was a lot of parking in the back. It was an easy drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. There are also lots of restaurants close to the place.”

”Nice, well kept older period property. And as with any older property there is no elevator to this three story hotel. I have sometimes suspected that when you book through Expedia, they sometimes give you a lesser room and we were assigned the third floor. Ok we dragged our bags up two flights of stairs for our three night stay. No hard feelings until night three when we returned from dinner and witnessed two members of the restaurant assisting an elderly man on a walker to his room on the third...

”This motel is the worst lodging I have ever encountered. There is no standard to compare it - makes Motel 6 look like a luxury hotel. The reception and staff were cold and rude. I was traveling with my daughter and we didn't feel safe or comfortable. There were random men sitting around outside in the parking lot when we checked into our room. The lock on the room didn't seem very secure and we didn't feel comfortable at all. The room had a terrible odor of old and damp wood from the dark wood...

”This is a lower priced motel in the Bar Harbor area. I have watched the upkeep and general condition of the property decline over the past few years. Also wireless service was nearly useless, a real aggravation when checking times or making reservations, or even to find local businesses and restaurants.”

”The staff was really helpful during checkout and morning breakfast was nice. Also hot coffee & chocolate all day long was a good addition. Hotel was clean and well kept, pool was smelling of chlorine (didn’t use).”

”Nice clean place, but one of the rooms was not how it was pictured. Instead of a queen, it had bunk beds. Water pressure was great upstairs but low downstairs in the bathroom. Also, ice maker didn't work. Great location”

”The price and location worked perfectly for us. It was wonderful to come back to some peace and quiet at the end of the day after being around So. Many. People. All day long. We had a private balcony overlooking a large lot where the kids played. It felt secluded even though it’s on a main road, walking distance to a bakery and coffee shop. The airport across the street was charming and we enjoyed watching the planes take off and land. Thank you to these great hosts!”

”When arrived to check in, we went to the assigned room which had not been cleaned or made up since the prior guests. Reservation was cancelled by the receptionist. Thankfully!!”
