Cozy Cottage on the Lake

  • This beautiful 3 bedroom 2.5 bath lake house is located on Lake Lanier with a boat dock and breathtaking lake views. Just 30 steps from the lake!

    It is perfectly located in a cove with a two story dock. Convenient access by boat or car to restaurants, marinas, jet-ski rentals, Lake Lanier Island Waterpark, hiking areas and much more.

    Our property features lake views from just about every room in the house. It also features two decks with seating as well as a side deck with a large hot tub. Enjoy watching the boats go by from the deck or from the amazing Double Decker dock (one slip, two stories with deck on top. The dock does have additional side wet slips for your personal watercrafts! This rooftop dock is wonderful for sunbathing, relaxing or just watching the amazing views and sunsets. There is a one kayak for your enjoyment. Plenty of seating on the top deck as well as a sunshade to escape the rays!

    The top level has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths as well as a laundry room. There are two queen beds and a bunk bed for the kiddos! The bottom level features a beautiful open concept area that includes a kitchen, living room, dining room, and bathroom. The kitchen has a huge island with seating for six. The center of the house features large windows for the views of the lake and surrounding area. You can walk straight out on to the deck with a hot tub! There is parallel parking for two cars only. This property is not handicapped accessible. Please note there are many steps and it may not be suitable for elderly guests. There are a good bit of stairs as the house is situated on a hill.

    Have fun swimming, boating, kayaking, fishing, jetskiing, waterskiing, and exploring the lake. If you are looking for enjoyment and relaxation on the lake, this is the place to be!

    Lake Lanier is located in North Georgia, just 40 miles from the state capitol of Atlanta. The 692 miles of shoreline borders the following five counties: Hall; Forsyth; Dawson; Gwinnett and Lumpkin. Lake Lanier is well known for the wonderful fishing.

Excellent stay. We had no issues and everything was as described. Location was very desirable. House was clean and the host extremely accommodating and attentive to our needs. She was very easy to reach if we had questions. Would stay here again.

Very comfortable place. Lots of room. Renter a pontoon boat and they delivered it to the dock. Lots of stairs. Baths and kitchen seem to be remolded.

We had a wonderful stay here. The kids fished non stop off the dock and caught plenty of fish. We rented a boat from aqua sports adventures and really enjoyed the lake. The home had everything we needed and we truly relaxed and made memories. Thank you!

Exactly what I want in a lake house getaway. Appropriately priced, can fit an entire family. Wouldn’t say it’s great for kids under 10 or the elderly though, very steep property from house to lake. Incredible for young adults 10/10. Do recommend

House was great and views of the lake are amazing. Great house for a pet friendly option. Plan on bringing a couple extra towels, house could use some more. Other than that, great place!

House was fine, lots of room, perfect for three guests and could’ve accommodated more, pretty comfortable, propane hookup to grill was cool. Wish we had used the hot tub, looked cool. Bug issue in kitchen, outside needs maintenance, decks and dock in a bit of disrepair. Pretty well stocked, but tiny things like no whisk or grill tongs were annoying but we made due. But overall the place is priced well and was good for a guys fishing trip.

Great view, hot tub was the perfect spot for the cool evenings. Knew it was not handicap accessible but the steps coming down to property were a challenge since there were no lighting on the steps or porch light left on. Overall would have benefited from a good cleaning but thinking the house hadn’t been rented in awhile.

Very nice view of the lake and quietness. Wish there were less spider webs on the windows and leaves on the stairs to the property. Overall it was a nice place.

The lake views are absolutely beautiful, & you can tell this home has been a special place for many families over the years. Unfortunately, our experience did not match the photos or description on the listing.The biggest issue was the cockroach infestation in the kitchen. We also found the kitchen cabinets filled with crumbs & cockroach droppings, dirty coffee makers, dusty baseboards, and urine splatters in the upstairs bathrooms. We reported these concerns to both the owner & corporate shortly after arriving. Although the owner's daughter came on Tuesday (we stayed Sunday through Sunday) to clean some of these issues, we had already spent a few days in those conditions. I also asked if they could bring a replacement frying pan because every Teflon pan in the house was heavily scratched, making them unsafe to cook with. My request was dismissed, and I was told, "Certainly you can find a pan that works." The owner also stated that the home was "priced due to the condition." However, we paid over 2k for the week & intentionally chose this property over other options because the listing photos & description suggested a much better-maintained home. The dock canopy was broken & not fully intact, which was disappointing since it was one of the amenities that attracted us to the property. The upstairs roof had a slow leak and the drywall was soft. Hot tub was dirty. We left feeling disappointed because the home's condition did not reflect the expectations set by the listing.

Our stay on the lake was just perfect! We have a 12 year old and a 14 year and we all had the best time! The house was so spacious, a beautiful view of the lake, and perfect location. We went to Snow Island @ Margaritaville (about 15 minutes away) , spent an evening in downtown Dahlonega (about an hour away), and went on a self-directed tour of film locations of Stranger Things (about an hour away). The hot tub was a perfect way to begin our day and end of evening. We would 1 million percent stay here again. Thank you again!

Great Lake house

Great location, beautiful views, close to many restaurants, stores and outdoor activities. We really enjoyed our stay and will return in the future!

Our family had an amazing time at this vrbo! It was perfect for our family of 6! Its a quiet and cozy place, and the kids loved having their own dock access for fishing and swimming. Hot tub works well, and we even did some deer watching while out there. We would love to return and stay stay again.

Overall, for the price, our stay was a pleasant one. What bothered me most was that I could not look back at the listing to compare, but I feel the photos were out of date and just HOW steep the grounds were was not well represented. Also, there was only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, and two garbage bags for a one week stay. I don't mind using dish towels, but there weren't any (plus no extra blankets or towels if someone was cold or wanted to use the hot tub). The hot tub was also in extremely rough shape and dirty. These aren't necessarily deal breakers - heck they might have come to clean the hot tub if I called, but I was on vacation and didn't want to deal with extra - but most rentals provide these minor amenities so it's worth knowing you should come supplied with your own extras.

Lake house gem

Beautiful place, spacious, clean with views of the lake from every room. We would definitely rent this place again.
