”We ate breakfast every morning on the back deck with our dog, Magnus. Trails galore to walk him on. The ones with rushing water beside them were so calming. After our walks, the hanging chairs on the front porch were a dream to hang out in with a cool drink and my Nintendo Switch. For dinners with a big dog; we were able to eat at the Lake House Restaurant on the lower deck where the boat slips are, at the Highland we were able to walk him through and eat on the back deck, and behind the Tiki...

”The property was beautiful and on good days we could even see the mountains in the background. The antiques in the property were lovely and the house was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed the town of Rutherfordton even if it was small. The shops were fun and the food was good. Over all we had a great vacation in a wonderful location.”

”Amazing facility with adorable rooms and living room/dining room. The courtyard is a great place to relax or do yoga. Donna provided fantastic breakfast and conversation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. She even packed breakfast sandwiches for our early morning departure the last day. We will be back. ”

”This was our first trip to 1927 Lake Lure Hotel but not the last I hope. Staff was excellent and so helpful. The room was very clean. The whole property is so pretty and the antiques are a very nice touch in the lobby as well as on every landing. The only thing I would add is to have restaurant open we would have rather to have eaten there. Hope to come back with my best friends for a girl trip soon. ”

”Bed was comfortable and service was good. Some guests across the way were up late working on a vehicle and other guests were arguing loudly a couple doors down. Fortunately it all stopped by midnight and I was able to drown out the noise in the meantime by keeping the fan on and the TV on low. Other than some rude guests, the room was clean, had everything I needed, and I did get plenty of sleep for field work the following morining.”

”The person at the front desk was friendly. The facilities were very scary to say the least. The facility is very ran down. Group of people in parking lot having a cook out. Room smelled strongly of years of smoking. Insects in bathroom. This one should not be listed on Hotels.com”
