This is a quirky little beachside motel with access to some beautiful trails on the Fort Bragg bluffs overlooking the ocean. There is a paved walking trail right in front of the motel that follows the coast and crosses the adjacent historical trestle bridge. Convenient driving access to the town for restaurants, the “glass” beaches, Skunk train, etc.
The motel itself is a bit dated for the pricing. We had a couple/child in one room with two queens and grandma in another room with a king. The two-queen room was pretty cramped. Bathroom is very small and the sink is in the main room, which is very odd. Also only one sink for a two bed room and very limited counter space. The property is showing its age.
Staff was friendly and the coastline there is stunning. If you have an ocean view room, the view is great - we were on the second floor and the view made everything else seem less of an issue.
We had a handicap placard due to grandma and there were two handicap spots, but an old beat-up van was consistently parked in the “no parking” space next to a handicap spot, making it nearly impossible to back out. Apparently this is someone who works on the property - I asked on the second day if they could move that vehicle and they eventually did.
It’s a decent place to stay for maybe a night or two but for longer you may want to shop around.
