Star-filled dark skies, beautiful sunrises and dreamy sunsets make this home on 2 acres a perfect place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle. Located conveniently to grocery, restaurants, shopping. 20 minutes to Marfa, close to the McDonald Observatory, and lots of great hiking nearby. Chef's kitchen, luxury bath and comfortable beds will make you want to stay longer.

The views in this place are incredible, mountains for miles! You can see the sun rise and set from the same comfortable seat. The house is fresh, clean and nicely appointed with a well-stocked kitchen. The host was gracious and kept us informed at all times. And the location is perfect, a relatively short walk to shops and restaurants downtown, and an easy drive to McDonald Observatory. We have stayed many places in Fort Davis over the years and this place is our clear favorite.

Kitchen supplies were beyond expectations. A plastic two prong forks (12 or so inches long.) would have been nice for cooking meat and etc. in skillets. Towels, pillows, sheets and etc. were more than expected.

Beautiful House - Great for any occasion

We attended an event at the square. The house is conveniently located near town, making it easy to go back and forth multiple times a day. However, it is also far enough from the town to provide a peaceful and quiet atmosphere.The layout was ideal for our family, with bedrooms situated on both sides of the house. The furniture is comfortable and can accommodate a large group. The pantries and bathrooms are fully stocked, and there is a washer and dryer available if needed.Communication from the manager was excellent—thorough and prompt.

Memorial Day Under the Stars

We came to Fort Davis to visit the McDonald Observatory. We also did some hiking while we were there. The property and home was a relaxing respite from our activities. The kids got their own rooms and we had plenty of shared space to make food and enjoy one another's company, including the outdoor space. Communication was excellent for check-in and we appreciated the warning about local businesses closing early -- even though we didn't exactly listen and missed out on ice cream on Saturday night. Highly recommend this property and would stay here again if we find ourselves back in the area.McDonald Observatory was incredible!! For anyone considering a trip here, we highly recommend it.

Spacious and comfortable

My friends and I enjoyed the spaciousness of this lovely home in Ft Davis while we explored the area. Kitchen was well equipped. Only complaints were TV not in living room for all to enjoy NBA playoffs, and plug in guest bathroom not working.
