”There was one dryer and one washer for 3 floors of guest...had to wait 3 hours just to dry clothes....they only had dark roast coffee in room and for breakfast...i don't drink dark roast....had pic of indoor pool it was outdoor Room was nice though...good thing Walmart was just 3 blocks away...”

”Room was spacious, clean. Bed comfortable. Balcony. Good views to water! Has an elevator! A huge bonus! Parking ample. Pool was clean and not over crowded. It has a small beach with a small boardwalk. Would come back. Located in Southport. Love the town. 4 min from great eateries and shops. Recommend Cafe Koa. Get there early! Try the fried green tomato omelet! Great coffee too. Few min drive to Oak Island.”

”The Carriage House Inn was a perfect place to stay while in Southport. It was in an excellent location, and the owners thought of everything you could possibly need. I highly recommend staying there!”

”I spent a couples in town. The hotel was very pleasant experience. Room was clean. Staff was very friendly. Definitely one of the most quiet hotel stays I have had. Would recommend hotel to anyone. The only complaint was not a lot of good food options in area but hotel was great.”

”directly on the ocean...we did not have a parking problem, but if they have a full house they have 18 spots and 26 rooms. so, beware. clean, crystal clear water in the pool. the outdoor fire pits were not functioning due to salt corrosion, per the front desk. about a mile walk to the boardwalk. nice fireworks show there every thurs. very close to the water. i would stay again.”

”Place was well kept and staff were excellent. Although they didn't have a check in office, they responded in a timely manner. Parking in front of the building is not guaranteed.”

”Friendly staff, comfortable room. Beach access almost directly from the hotel. Plenty of free parking at the hotel and a few restaurants nearby.”

”The buildings are definitely older but everything was clean and the staff were VERY helpful. I couldn't find my charger the first day there and my phone was at 1%, I went to the front desk to ask if they sold any and she said no sorry. Wait do you have an I phone? Here you can borrow mine. The menu at the on site restaurant was limited, but very good. The Tiki bar was a great place to sit and enjoy the view.”
