Management issue. SOMEONE ELSE IN ROOM WITH OUR BELINGINGS. Story: got a room with two double beds despite booking a king, which the manager explained was an “upgrade“ due to last minute stay overs/shower not working. I immediately called and explained that a couple would never want a double room as an upgrade and expressed my discontent. she then gave me the option of a refund and her help to find another hotel or to have another night free in a king size room. We decided that we would take the free night. the next day we kept being told that the room was almost ready. We waited for hours decided that we would leave and check back in later. We got the king room, we then decide we are hungry, so we go for a walk to go get food. Upon our return our key didn’t work to get into the room and SOMEONE ELSE answered the door. All our belongings were out because we had been here for the majority of the day and the person who was here decided to stay and make himself at home instead of going to tell the front desk right away. WHO KNOWS HOW LONG HE WAS IN OUR ROOM. I had to tell him to get out. He walked around in our room with his dirty shoes into the bathroom and charged his phone with my charger. Called the front desk, explained that we felt violated and it was a utter lack of professionalism, and that its disgusting that someone else was in our stuff. The front desk did not know what to say, and expressed apology trying to say that the person didn’t do the things I was explaining….
