The sheets did not fit the bed and we had to fight with that all week. Wasn't the cleanest condo I've stayed in. We had to go and purchase some things to cook with that were not available in the kitchen. We had to call front desk due to garbage disposal leaking. They were very responsive and fixed it the next day. We appreciated that! The couch needs a deep clean. It's very dirty. I would recommend the resort just not the condo we stayed in.

We stayed this year for February and reserved it for 2025 February.The restaurants near by are great.The coffee maker was defective but was replaced within the hour by the great staff. We had a good vacation.The only downside was the pullout couch. It should be replaced. Very difficult for us old folk to get out once sat down. Overall Destin West Resort is very well maintained and it is in a great location

Was missing simple things like pot holders, foil etc. Also, the rules in the pool area are NOT enforced. There was football, drinking in the pools and hot tubs, profanity, music brought in playing loudly with profanity, smoking in the pool area. This REALLY needs to be addressed, it was not a family atmosphere part of the time we were there.

Reviewer Comments: We've stayed here 10 times over the past years, in different units. We were in pelican 502 this time. This one felt a little bare- no toaster, potholders, minimal kitchen equipment. The couch needs replaced and my daughter said her mattress had rips in it. It would be nice to have a dresser in the main bedroom, at least to set our suitcase on. And maybe some hooks on the bathroom door. The outdoor furniture was nice. Love the pools and the short walk to the beach.

You can tell most guests don’t cook there, because I didn’t even have pot holders for the oven. You have a 5 min walk to get to the beach and have to take 3 elevators to get there. The location is close to a lot of things to do. The staff was very accommodating! We will come back to the area next year but probably won’t stay here.

Pretty view of all the pools and bay. This is my second time staying on the bayside and have stayed on the gulf side for the past four years. Such a convenience to be right beside the boardwalk and pier. We love it and continue to return! We also have referred many friends who return also along with some staying for the 1st time.

There were also no extra trash bags but we did get some from the front desk when we needed it.

1st stay and missed the mark!

Reviewer Comments: Check in was fine, but when we entered the condo there was strong smell of cherry airfreshner that was nauseating but then the beds were not made up. It was just stripped mattress. When I called down to desk they were like okay-just come get some sheets at the front desk. I was like what???? needless to say that was upsetting and asked for the beds to be made up. No apology nothing. They came and made the beds. The weird cherry smell never left- I think it was imbedded in the old funky carpet. This condo definitely needs a face lift. Will not be returning.

P502 - Do not rent

The condo was very nasty. The furniture in the properly need updated as it was broken down, dirty, missing, etc. The pictures on the website were very misleading. We had to contact the management on several occasions to get broken items repaired. The mattress in the bedroom was stained severely, hard, old, and needed to be replaced before anyone rents this. I would not recommend this location to anyone until updates/repairs/mattress replacement was done.

Condo

The carpet was very old and felt sticky throughout the property. The bathroom towel rack broke off the wall within 30 minutes of arriving to the condo. Microwave top was hanging off the microwave when we arrived. Night 1 my husband fell through the already breaking 2 of 3 outside chairs available. Leaving 1 working chair for our family of 4 to enjoy our balcony view. The entire condo needs a facelift and upkeep. You can tell it does not see a lot of attention.

This unit not up to usual standards for Destin west property

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit smelled bad really bad. Paint job poorly touched up. Only found one bath towel . Crew did bring more upon request. And air refresher but didn’t mask the stink. Disappointed with unit not up to usual standards of Destin West. Ten year repeat customer.

Fun family vacation

The property and its location was great for our family. We loved how the resort was geared towards families and could be enjoyed by all of our children, a 14, 12, and 9 year old. The only time we needed to get in out vehicle and venture out was when we went to get groceries. Everything you need is within walking distance and is safe to do so. A short drive over the bridge and you're in Destin and at the board walk, where we enjoyed a snorkeling adventure at Destin Snorkeling. We will definitely be booking another trip.

Disappointed in the unit, loved the resort.

The resort is wonderful, the staff was friendly and helpful. Our condo was a disappointment. It smelled when we arrived, the brown shag carpet seems old and is stained (actually gross), you can't sit on the sofa without pillows (the cushions are worn out), the dishwasher made a beeping sound, the bedroom does not have adequate lighting, the mattresses are VERY firm and without a topper to soften against your body. We recommend the resort but absolutely do not recommend our unit until some upgrades are made.

The Perfectly Cozy Family get away!

So...BRAVO!! to the property management and owners of this Perfectly Cozy Beach resort. We were a foursome consisting of myself “Dad”, two 21year old young ladies—one of which is my daughter the other her friend both , and my younger daughter of 10yrs. For starters; We had a scheduling conflict that posed no problems at all for expediting thanks to the management and owners. With just one phone call, My daughter and her friend were able to gain access to the condominium, parking and amenities two days prior to my arrival. Of course, my daughter called me a soon as she got there and was bragging on how fresh the place smelled, and how awesome the lazy river looked at night with the palm trees, the color changing LED lights in the water and all of the ambient lighting in the landscape. I could hear the excitement in their voices… Priceless. Upon my arrival everything they described was exactly true. Overall it was a fantastic, fun filled five night stay which yielded lasting memories and priceless moments with my family. The restaurant venues were conveniently located almost directly across the street. The Complex was one huge metropolis of some of the tastiest beach front food I’ve had!! It kept us entertained for dinner all five nights! We spent some time go karting, shopping and strolling the beautiful beaches. To summarize, I would definitely recommend this condominium complex and I also do plan to return as soon as possible. Thank you pelican 502 for a great family experience and lasting memories!!

Labor day weekend getaway!

Love staying at destin west! We stay a few times each summer. The condo we stayed in this time was a little subpar. The drier was broken and couldn't be repaired. The sofa bed was broken so it didn't sleep 6 people as advertised. Outside of the condo needing some updates we enjoyed our stay as usual.
