”Very nice motel. Clean and quiet at night. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Our room wasn’t ready but the gentleman at the desk switched us to another room that was ready. Nice large room. Only bad thing was the cleaning staff on our floor were very loud. Slamming doors and going in and out of rooms many times. ”

”The location called after we booked to let us know they were renovating the property in the event that would be an issue. ”I've stayed here a number of times over the years and found they have made noticable improvements recently, possibly with anticipation of the eclipse which I'm getting ready to watch right now. The beds are excellent, the towels and bedding are fresh and maintenance responded promptly when a minor adjustment was needed for the toilet seat. ”The property is amazing. Pictures do not do the gardens justice. The visiting horse and friendly cats were a plus. The pool is cloudy and needs more frequent cleaning than the weekly service due to its location under trees. The outdoor furniture also needs cleaning as do the dishes in the house. But you will hardly notice because the gardens are so well maintained and the hot tub works amazing.”

”It was a great place for our group to gather to watch the eclipse, and then visit with each other afterwards. Very historic house with potential to be even more grand if renovations continue.
