”We were visiting family in Bristol for the holidays and used Founders Brook as our home base for five nights. The property is close to Portsmouth’s downtown area and a hop over the bridge to Bristol. We had some of the best sleep we’ve had in years and felt very at home. This is the fourth time we have stayed here and each time we notice improvements. Love the complimentary toiletries!!”

”The room and service were excellent. No problems at all. Even the mattresses were comfortable. All areas of the hotel, both inside the room and in the hallways and common areas, were clean and fresh. (I did not use the pool or hot tub, but enjoyed having that option.) Breakfast could have more plant-based options, but otherwise good.”

”Wonderful restaurants nearby. Prompt response from staff when I had questions. Beautiful, elegant, safe, clean room and property. The full shared kitchen is large, clean and well stocked with ice, dishes, salt/pepper, cleaning supplies etc. The parking was easy and accessible. Check in and checkout was a simple process. I can not state enough how gorgeous the house itself is. It is 10 minutes or less to downtown Newport. I would stay again and again given the opportunity! ”

”I was so impressed with my stay at Rheas! Room was exceptionally clean and had everything I needed. breakfast was plentiful and perfect for runners (I stayed here for the Newport half marathon). Walking distance to Eaton's beach - perfect location for this race weekend. Jacuzzi tub was heaven after the race! Highly recommend.”

”We had a pipe break at our condo and had to move out while it was being repaired. The Island House was perfect. We had a suite that felt very much like home. It had everything we needed to be comfortable from a large bed to a refrigerator to utensils and beautiful plate and flatware. The hotel is extremely clean, it is brand new, and has all modern fixtures, technology, and finishes. The staff was great, checking in via text everyday. We would highly recommend the Island House.”
