”Hotel is perfectly placed for the beach and exploring. Dinner in the restaurant was great and breakfast was brilliant with lots of variety. Staff were really helpful. Family room was really spacious and a comfortable quiet sleep. Beautiful hotel, however if you look too close, you'll see some parts could really do with a little bit of tlc. Overall a fabulous hotel.”

”Beautiful old castle and such a treat to stay in the original building with only a few rooms. Lovely wooded grounds for walks. Our room had a four poster bed which was the icing on the cake! The meal was second to none. I would highly recommend this authentic traditional hotel and will definitely be back, hopefully for longer next time.”

”The location and accommodations are wonderful but the pdf instructions from the owner appear to be out-dated and a little confusing. The directions state that guests need to replace wood or peat used for the tiny stove in the living room - but there were no instructions on where to obtain the replacement fuel. ”If you need to stay in the center of Ballina.. this is your hotel...walkable from the train station. Staff are so friendly,helpful and professional.Check in was easy. Rooms are clean and cozy. The only thing I would say is that there is no Air-conditioning so room was warm. Breakfast included was excellent offering a true Irish Breakfast Overall, i world highly recommend this Hotel to anyone.”

”Lovely period farmhouse. The owner Trudy was very helpful and responded to all requests and issues promptly. Lovely views and walks. ”Upon arrival the bedroom smelled of heating oil. We tried opening the window, but was simply too cold. We had to leave the property. We were only there a few hours. We contacted both the property manager and VRBO. We offered to pay for the 1st night and requested a refund for the rest. We contacted the property manager several times but never received a response. Neither helped us and we lost our money. It was a horrible experience:(”

”The location and the property were both superb... Mary the owner ought to be cloned for every B&B. She was THE BEST....loved our interactions with her. This is a place to be highly recommended and it comes with resident donkeys. One could not ask for more. Warmer and sunnier, maybe. But hey, it's Ireland! We did have some sun!”
