"Spoon Rest" - sijaitsee Nantahala National Forestissä

Meillä on viehättävä 2 makuuhuoneen, 2-kylpyhuonetta setri-post ja palkki talo, joka on kätkeytyneenä Nantahala National Forest. Se on täydellinen viikonloppumatka Atlantasta. Puistossa on 25 hehtaarin kauniisti ylläpidettyä kiinteistöä, ja sinut kutsuvat tutustumaan. Bartram-reitin pääsyreitit ovat vain muutaman askeleen päässä etuportista. Voit rentoutua etukannella ja katsella peuran laiduntaa, kalkkunan vaeltaa ja punaisia hännän haukkoja. Laaja näkymä kannelta näyttää Scaly-vuorelta.
Kotimme on erittäin mukava ja tilava, ja siinä on ihastuttava sisustus. Suuressa sviitissä ja parvella makuuhuoneessa on queen-size-vuoteet. On kaksi täyttä kylpyammeet, joista toisessa on kynsijalka. On täysin varustettu keittiö, mutta Highlandsin gourmet-hinta on 30 minuutin luonnonkaunis ajomatka. Muita paikallisia nähtävyyksiä ovat vetoketju, jalokivikaivos, koskenlasku, perhokalastus, vaellus, talviputket, hiihto, luistelu, luonnonkauniiset asemat ja live-teatteri Smokey Mountain Performing Arts Centerissä Franklinissa ja Highlands Playhouse Highlandsissa. Kotona, jos löydät itsesi sisälle, on myös HD-taulutelevisio ja High-Speed Wi-Fi, jossa on Roku-suoratoisto.

Outstanding, secluded and peaceful. Very nice amenities. We enjoyed watching the deer every day. Our "fur baby' (yellow lab) had the time of her life with a 30-acre front yard. Bill & Heidi were outstanding hosts, and we have already booked our stay for next year.

Perfect vacation

We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Heidi and Bill's vacation rental nestled in the Nantahala Forest in Franklin, North Carolina! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the amazing mountain views and the pristine condition of the entire property. The location was enchanting, perfectly as described, quiet, safe, and conveniently close to all local attractions, with the added ease of a beautiful driveway. The atmosphere was incredibly serene and tranquil, allowing for true relaxation.The rental itself offered every possible amenity imaginable, including reliable Wi-Fi and excellent air conditioning. What truly set this place apart were the thoughtful little touches: the beautifully cared-for plants, the joy of watching the hummingbirds flutter by, the delightful presence of other birds, and cozy evenings around the fantastic fire pit. We even had the pleasure of seeing a deer family visit! The property is incredibly well-maintained, spacious, and the well-manicured lawn added to the overall serene atmosphere. We felt so comfortable and at ease here.Communication with Heidi and Bill was outstanding. They were incredibly responsive and friendly, providing clear check-in/out instructions and valuable local recommendations. As dog owners, we especially appreciated our dog being able to play with their awesome dog, Alfie! This is truly a five-star experience and a place we'd love to return to.Nikki, Jake, and Joe

Absolutely amazing- must see for yourself

Bill and Heidi are amazing as is there home. I cannot put into words how beautiful the property is. We saw so many deer each day. Went on a peaceful walk on the trail directly outside the gate of the property. Everything was perfect for celebrating my cancer recovery as well as Brain surgery. Could not have picked a better location. Please see for yourself. The host made all more special

Labor Day getaway

What a beautiful place! Bill and Heidi are excellent hosts; there are hiking trails steps from the front door and an entertaining deer family on the property. A great place for some R&R.

Everyone needs a rest at Spoon Rest

This was our 2nd stay here & once again it was wonderful. The well maintained road makes for a fairly easy drive up.The covered carport is great for getting into the home & has a motion light to help if you're coming in after dark. Having the porch gated on both sides is a big benefit if you have your pet with you. The views are awesome, the air smells wonderful & it's so peaceful to hear only the birds.The master bedroom, with a very comfortable bed, has two skylights that let the sun slowly awake you each morning & also give a great view if you're having to do physical therapy on the floor..(😊..trying to avoid back surgery). They have guest ROKU that allows you to tap into your Netflix, Amazon Video etc accts. Being there isn't any cell service, we brought our home MAGICJACK which taps into the WIFI, thus giving us access to a phone should the need arise. This time, we learned Bill planned,designed & built a solid house that was their home for many years until they outgrew it. You can feel the warmth & love in this home: it will feel like your home too so if you bring pets, please be respectful & treat it as your own. There's a laundry room, a claw bathtub with an amazing forest view, that I again didn't use but maybe next year. There isn't a built in dishwasher, so bring your own😂 as it makes for great bonding.Bill, Heidi, Liam & Alfred are warm,welcoming home owners & a delight to talk to. We hope to return again next year & maybe stay longer.

Beautiful and unbelievably quiet location - just what we wanted! Sitting on the porch watching God’s creation as the birds and deer (Bill’s babies) entertained us with their activity. Bill and Heidi were welcoming and quick to respond to any questions and were helpful with recommendations. We had a wonderful time!

Relaxing Stay at Spoon Rest

We enjoyed our stay at Spoon Rest very much. It was the perfect place for us to relax and unwind from the day-to-day stresses of life. The property is a bit off the beaten path on a gravel road that traverses through the woods. The house sits on a hill that overlooks a beautiful field with mountain views. There is a main deck off the living area and a smaller one off the master bedroom. The house has a nice living room with a spiral staircase that leads to a loft space with a bed. The first floor has a spacious bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped, and we enjoyed making our breakfast each morning and the occasional dinner. One night we sat around the firepit and made Smores which was great. Each evening the property owner, Bill, drove in his golf to the large field below the house to feed the deer. I got attached to one beautiful doe who took a particular interest in me and our dog. The owners live on the property and are very nice but not intrusive. All in all, it was a great place to unplug, unwind, and listen to the sounds of nature.

Cozy Place in the Mountain

Relaxing Getaway

We had a wonderful time at Spoon Rest. The property is beautiful! It is off the path a bit but the road isnt bad. The view is great and the oweners are very welcoming. Our dog loved being able to really stretch his legs there. We will be coming back!

Another perfect getaway!

We stayed at Spoonrest for Christmas in 2022 and couldn’t wait to come back this year! Bill and Heidi are the kindest hosts, going above and beyond to make you feel at home. The views are gorgeous, I hardly left the deck. If you’re looking for a peaceful mountain getaway, this is it!
