”Older house in an obviously older development on the lake. That said, the house has been nicely updated. It was clean, well outfitted, and everything worked. Quiet neighborhood and excellent access to a deep cove. The road in is interesting, but not bad. We had a good time and would certainly go back.”

”The property was great. Plenty of room/space. Loved the rustic feel it had. Back porch/patio was huge along with a big open yard. Also a very cool loft area especially for younger kids. Close to boat ramps as well as Toccoa and Lavonia. Would definitely stay here again. ”

”We loved staying at this house! It was the best stocked house we have ever rented! We love to cook and we planned to bring most of our supplies with us from home because rental houses usually have just the minimum. This kitchen was equipped with spices, pots, pans, and more than enough supplies for a comfortable stay. Our kids loved walking down to the water and using the kayaks and water mat. ”We were looking for a local pool house that we could spend a weekend with the kids. We found this great little paradise with a gorgeous pool. The landscaping is amazing with gorgeous flowers and and colors. The pool is very pretty with a deep blue bottom that just pops. The place itself has a couple of rooms and a bathroom and is very clean. There is only one TV in the living room so plan for that. The AC struggles with GA heat but that's understandable. There is a steep stairway to get to it...

We did not stay at this property, "Songbird" because the owner claimed that it had on-going construction issues. However, our VRBO contact, Jessi, provided an equally nice place within a day's notice for the same price, "Blues Brothers Hideaway". ”We've stayed for a week at Doug and Lucy’s place in June 2025. We had a really great time, enjoyed everything. Mostly spent time on the lake - swimming, kayaking, fishing. Kids had fun at the beach and playgrounds at the Elrod Ferry Recreation Area, which is just a few minutes drive down the road. Groceries and shopping (Walmart and ALDI) are less than 10 minutes away. Overall, a very nicely located quiet place on the lake. Will definitely try to come back next year.”

”We were looking for lake property for week and couldn't be happier after finding this listing. First, communication from owners was great to answer questions and provide suggestions on what to do. Second, the house is very well stocked with anything you need for your stay including spices and seasonings for cooking. The dock area is very nice due to having covers to stay out of sun if you want but always an area open if you want to get tan. Water was up during our stay so depth off end of dock...
