  • You've found the best views in Fraser Valley! This rental is situated on the high hill above the Fraser River from where you can soak in unobstructed views of Byers Peak, Winter Park Resort, Parry's Peak, and the Continental Divide. Moose are often spotted foraging along the Fraser River below and you will not be disappointed while enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck each morning watching the sun rise over the Continental Divide or having an evening cocktail and dinner while the sun sets to the west. This townhome is located on the free shuttle route and there is also a trail right outside your door that leads down to the Fraser River Trail system, offering hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails. This spacious residence has an open layout that is great for families or a large group of friends. All the modern comforts you'll need to feel as relaxed as possible during your stay are here, including a private hot tub and a full-size mattress!

    This property is centrally located, less than seven miles away from phenomenal skiing in Winter Park and offers a free bus shuttle that picks up right in front of the complex. The townhome is also conveniently situated near various grocery stores, specialty shops, and delicious restaurants.

Great views, old school ski feel

Please set a great view of all of the valley and mountains around. Had more of an old school ski set up just minutes from the grocery store.

Great place!!

The house served as home base for a ski weekend with friends. The bedrooms (each with what is essentially its own bathroom) are comfortable and accommodating, the layout of the kitchen and living spaces are awesome, the hot tub room was fun to use, and the decor is all fun and interesting too. 10/10 would recommend for your next weekend in the mountains with your friends.

Beautiful view

The view was great from this condo. It suited our family wonderful and we enjoyed our stay. We blew a tire in the potholes outside fraser/winter Park just driving on the main road. Be cautious! The roads are not maintained. This was a 2022 vehicle with great tires, we were on main highway not trails! And the state of Colorado chargers for grocery sacks, while 20 cents per bag isn't horrible it would have been nice to know ahead of time and taken our own bags. No where in listing did it say what to do with trash, we figured out the key hanging on peg by front door is key you use to unlock trash bins outside.

Great Unit! ..but need to know about the heat

This is a great unit with a beautiful view. I gave one category a low rating because we had an issue the first day with the heating of the unit and it was very difficult to get a helpful response until the next morning. Basically, we learned that it takes a LONG time for the unit to heat up ( we were there in the Winter). We put on the heat and even 5 hours later it was freezing! One of the rooms the baseboard heating seemed to not work at all. After A LOT of back and forth- the issue was resolved the next morning when someone came over - checked all the heaters and explained all of this to us. So if you are going in the winter, know that the heat will take a long time to heat up the rooms and they do have space heaters available if you need. Knowing this now- I would definitely go again. VRBO did give us a refund for the first day after we explained the whole situation which I felt was the right customer service.

Beautiful home

Getting to the property was difficult in the sense that there are 2 #8 buildings in the complex that look exactly the same and are within 100ft of each other and it was never specified or mentioned in the VRBO description. My friends and I tried to get into the wrong VRBO for almost an hour due to the misleading directions/information (despite trying to contact the property manager for further help with accessing the house) until a friendly neighbor had helped us and told us of the other #8 property just a short walk away. Other than that the property was absolutely perfect, beautiful and clean! We had everything we needed once we were able to get in

Location/accommodations rock

We loved the location we loved being able to cook for nine people all at the same place. We love the nearness of the grocery store in the mountains. The hot tub was a bonus. I think it is a rental for six adults and 4 children not necessarily 10 adults. Unless those adults are all willing to sleep on couches or bunkbeds. Then you’re good to go

Needs Complete Renovation

This property has clearly been used hard and is in desperate need of a renovation. - Several of the windows are stuck and missing screens - There is no central air conditioning - The kitchen & bathroom floors are spongy and need new subfloors - The carpet is matted and worn especially the stairs - The kitchen cabinets don’t close properly - The dryer takes multiple cycles to dry clothes - The hot tube causes the condo to have a very musty/chlorine smell as you walk in. This resolves itself when the windows are opened for ventilation - I haven’t seen that many VCR tapes in 20 years - A baby gate is really needed with the multi-level stairs - On a good note, the property has a cool mountain feel - The layout allows for spectacular vistas of the mountains - The beds were comfortable

Spacious and convenient

Liked the size of the place as all of us had our own bedroom and bath. Good location. Lots of hiking and activities around. Moose right off our balcony! There was an issue with the hot tub but Vacasa worked it out for us to ensure our satisfaction.

A great place to stay

A great place to stay with fantastic views, perfect location, clean, well equipped. We got everything what might be needed including some really good VHS movies. If possible, we will return!

Nice view and cozy bedrooms.

Location, view and accommodations were great. Beds were very comfortable. We could have used more towels and it would be nice if Vacasa would allow us to contact the local manager for concerns. I had a difficult time communicating with Vacasa through VRBO and most of their emails went to my junk mail.

Lovely but no communication

My main criticism is lack of communication. We visited during the summer but the heat was on in the property. We could not figure out how to turn it off (we found the thermostat and turned it down to no avail) let alone turn on the air (if there is AC?) and tried to reach out for direction and received no response. The hot tub barely got above warm, so even though we had specifically looked for a place with a hot tub, we hardly used it at all. Otherwise, it was a lovely area. Beautiful large kitchen with everything we needed. Very comfortable beds.

Excellent view and loads of space

My whole family loved this home. It had many spaces to hang out and we loved the location next to the trail. The view was gorgeous, and we loved the convenience to the grocery store. Thanks for sharing!

Nice Getaway

Overall, Needles Eye is a great location for a family, with plenty of room to spread out. The amenities are nice, convenient, and generally easy to use. The views of the area are spectacular, and access to the Winter Park/Fraser area are amazingly easy.

Loved the location, size and comfort

We have a terrific stay as a family of 10 in this large and comfortable home. The kitchen was very accommodating, the hot tub was fun, and the bus to the ski hill made each day easy. It was great to have a grocery store just down the street. Although not advertised, the pull out sofa bed and the air cot made for extra space that helped a lot with a large group. We had a trouble with the front door lock, but the management was very responsive to help us. In all, a great place. Thank you!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed here before and do love the condo. It has a great location, a fun layout, bright light and plenty of beds. I would say that I would change the mattresses in this unit as 3/4 of the adults struggled with sleep and back issues after the first night. The toiletries were nice, but the unit had little to no dishwashing detergent when we arrived. Not a huge deal, just something to keep an eye on.

There were only a couple issues we found with the property: 1) When we gave our kids a bath in the 3rd story bath, it started leaking through one of the lights in the kitchen. 2) Someone had put a lot of the pots, pans, and silverware back in the drawers dirty before our arrival 3) The chairs at the kitchen table were very wobbly, and we were concerned they'd break at some point. Again, overall we LOVED the condo and would 100% stay again.
