The cabin was thoughtfully decorated and extremely comfortable. We both thought it was the perfect distance to Fredricksburg.
There were a couple of things that disappointed both my husband and I. First, the shower pressure was dismal and the fact that I couldn’t actually use the big beautiful bathtub was a downer. We loved the hotub and used it night and day, but washing up after our daily hikes were not hot tub appropriate.
Another thing that was bothersome was the limited amount of k-cups for the keurig. There were only 6 cups, which meant 1 cup of coffee for each of us a day. We picked up groceries for our stay, but since the owner mentioned that coffee was provided, we did not think to bring any.
Finally, we were asked to wash our dishes upon check out. I did wash our dishes (although there was no hot water at the sink faucet), but I am a mother of 4; I was looking for a break from some of the mundane tasks that I do day to day, like washing dishes, especially on my limited vacation.
