Korkean niityn mökki | Söpö mökki 2: lle

Sijainti, sijainti, sijainti! Vain kuuden mailin päässä Fredericksburgista, kolmen mailin päässä Luckenbachista ja kahdeksan viinitilan lähellä, tämä on täydellinen paikka nauttia Hill Country'sin parhaasta !!

Tämän rakenteen tukiosa on vanha koristekori, jota käytettiin 1800-luvulla. Se siirrettiin hienotunteisesti tähän paikkaan. Tukit "katkettiin" ja paikalliset käsityöläiset rakensivat takan ja savupiipun huolellisesti. Lisäosassa vanhat kaapit, ovet ja ikkunat pelastettiin vuosisadan vaihteen rakennuksista ja luotiin ihana lämpö ja pioneeripäivien tunne.

Mökin hirsirakennus on olohuone, jossa televisio ja takka. Huone on ystävällinen ja kutsuva, ja niin kauniisti sisustettu. Seuraavaksi pieni keittiö tuo maalaismaisunsa ja sisäänrakennetun käytännöllisyytensä.

Makuuhuoneessa on ihana ja romanttinen king-size-vuode, mittatilaustyönä valmistettuja "tyylikkäitä" liinavaatteita ja tuoreita verhoja. Jokaisen ikkunan näkymä on erityinen herkku. Kylpyssä on vanhajalkainen kylpyamme, joka tarjoaa ylellisen liotuksen kaikille, jotka tulevat tänne. Naapurissa asuva omistaja koristaa huolellisesti ja rakkaudella koko mökin.

On olemassa kaksi kuistia, jotka ovat täydellisiä nauttimaan maaseudun elämästä.

- Moottoripyöriä ei saa tuoda omaisuuteen
- Isäntäsi asuu kiinteistöllä erillisessä talossa, joka on lähellä mökkiä
- Karja elää omaisuudella, joten pyydämme sulkemaan portti kun tulet ja lähdet loman aikana

Key pickup was fine, although a bit inconvenient to come into town just for the key. The cabin was very comfortable, but having to unlock and lock the gate every time we came and went was, again, decidedly inconvenient. There needs to be MUCH better lighting on the road because the gate is NOT well-advertised at all. Inside the cabin, there should be additional counter space or a place for toiletries in the bathroom. Also, the tub is NOT suitable for anyone with mobility issues, as it is very tall and there are no railings to help get in or out. We enjoyed our stay, but will likely not return due to the aforementioned issues.

Love this location

We have stayed in Fredericksburg near downtown several times. This location was so much better. We were closer the wineries we enjoy and Luckenbach for dancing. Very quiet and country feel. We will definitely rent every time at this point.

Quiet and relaxing

Spent the weekend at High Meadow Cabin with my brother. Very close to Fredericksburg and Luckenbach. Convenient but also a nice quiet get away. Probably a great place for couples but my brother said the couch was comfortable.

Perfect for a quiet get away

We loved this quiet little cabin on the outskirts of town. It was perfect for our weekend getaway. We loved watching the deer in the backyard from the windows. The size was perfect for my husband and I! A little confusion from the directions sent on how to access the cabin and park led to a slightly uncomfortable conversation with owner. (The directions say to park in the back and he expected us to park on the side). Other than that, we loved our stay.

Girls Getaway

My daughter and I had a wonderful time. I can’t say enough how nice this place is. Very peaceful, quite, secluded, scenic, ABUNDANCE of deer, the most friendliest little pony that greeted us everyday (fyi…he loves carrots) and just the overall ambiance of the history of the home. A true gem. Conveniently located to anywhere you want to go, trade days, wine vineyards or shopping on Main Street. Love this place and will definitely stay again.

This was an adorable cabin…very very vlean…just like we like it. Amazing authentic characters and charm. The only improvement would be if you didn’t have to pick up the key and drop it off…it was in the opposite direction we were traveling, but not a huge deal.

Outstanding property great in all respects. The only thing disconcerting was to find an additional $50 fee on top of the quoted price. VRBO not saying anything in advance of this additional fee.

Weekend Getaway

This place was great! Very quiet and surrounded by nature. It was a little hard to find at first because the entry is tucked away on the side of the road. Other than that we enjoyed this place so much! If you are looking for a place to disconnect and hang out with nature this place is for you! There was plenty of space in the cabin and it comes with pretty much everything you need for a quick little trip. We will be coming back for sure!

Music weekend

We stayed Dec 9 & 10 for a concert in Luckenbach. This property was super convenient being less than 5 miles from the venue. Comfortable bed, cute decorating and quiet location were great! Other reviewers complained about the lack of an electric gate, this really didn’t bother us. If there was any downside, I guess it might be that I had to bring my own hairdryer. Minor inconvenience for an otherwise perfect stay!

The cabin is cozy and so cute! It’s perfect for a couples getaway. You really feel secluded, yet close to everything in Fburg. Bed/bedding is super comfy (soft mattress), and we loved the fireplace at night. We loved our stay!

Quiet, Quaint and Relaxing!

Fantastic property if you like to be off the beaten path. Although it is a mere 6 miles to Fredericksburg, this cabin has a rural feel to it. Lots of wildlife to see in the yard. The fireplace was handy and the claw foot tub was great for soaking, the stopper is in the cabinet above the toilet …just fyi because I had no idea where to look lol

Amazing cabin, perfect weekend getaway!!

This exceeded our expectations! We didn't mind being a short drive out of Fredricksburg and enjoyed the country hill space! We loved Rascal, the cute mini horse in the front yard!! He was the best! The ONLY negative (i hate to say negative but...) was arriving and departing each time having to get out and open the gate, prop it open, get back in the car and pull thru and stop and get out and close the gate and lock it and get back in the car to drive to the cabin. We loved going into town for breakfast/coffee then back to get ready for the day. We headed into town to shop, then back to change, headed to hike Enchanted Rock, back to change, out to eat/drink, then back. Each time having to do the gate/lock. It definitely was an effort. The cabin was wonderful. I loved every room and the bed was BEYOND comfortable. We slept great each night! The bathroom was small but spacious. My husband has a bad knee and stepping out of the free-standing tub/shower was a little difficult for him. It is a deep step and wouldn't recommend it for those who struggle. We really enjoyed everything and especially cute Rascal!

The property location was in the wheelhouse for anniversary celebration plans.

The AC died on our first full day. Our property owner made arrangements with Gasthaus Schmidt to move us to another property. The property was in the boondocks, far away from our planned weekend. The property was also not very clean. We were so disappointed we left the next morning for home. We requested a refund for our third night, but have received no response from Gasthaus Schmidt.
