But the best part was the staff Sande, the manager, is the most welcoming, kind, affectionate, warm and inviting person we have ever met. ”We had a great stay at The Fred! The room was on the smaller side, but perfectly comfortable for a couple. The hotel has a fun, vibrant vibe with great amenities. The pool area was really nice, and the view from the terrace was beautiful—especially around sunset. The bar is spacious and conveniently located right by the pool, which made it easy to relax with a drink in hand. ”We just got back from staying in the Sunset Suite at VH with our family of 4. We loved the quirkiness of the house, built in the late 18th century so it has wonky floors, but it gives it character. The 2 bedrooms are the only rooms with A/C so be prepared for the living room, kitchen and bathroom to be a lil toasty. We did ask for an extra box fan, which they kindly provided. ”The owner made us feel welcomed and respected our privacy at the same time. He provided information and was a treasure with his knowledge. He and his sister were helpful and friendly. His place is amazing and the work he put into his place shows in all the magic that is there. From fruit trees to pool the place has hidden nooks. The dogs are nice though a little afraid of people. If you are gentle with them they warm up to you. This is a great place to stay on the west side. Thanks Miro. ”
