We had a great time staying here! Our stay was from Jan 1-3. Here are some tips for others who are considering this property:1) If you can help it, don’t arrive after dark. We weren’t able to get there until about 7pm and it is complete darkness out there. There are signs close to the ground that direct you to the house, but since it was snowing they were snow covered and we were crossing our fingers that we were going the right way. Thanks to the owner’s instructions we made it, but it was a bit treacherous! 4wd is absolutely necessary if you plan on staying during iffy weather. 2) It did get extremely hot even upstairs and no matter what we set the thermostat at, it remained warm. Honestly pretty impressive for it being the dead of winter, but be prepared for that. 3) Prepare to cook and bring all your own necessities—coffee, cooking oil, etc. It takes about 30 min to get to where shops and restaurants are. But we planned for this, so it was no issue. Also, you may want to bring your own knives since the ones there were kind of dull.Other than those minor things, we kept saying how much we loved it and want to bring our kids over the summer. From the decor to the hot tub to the stunning views—everything was just perfect! It was so beautiful even in the winter, I can’t imagine how gorgeous it will be during the other seasons. Picturesque is the best word I can think of and even that doesn’t feel like it does this place justice. I cannot wait to stay again sometime!!!
