Let me know if you want to adjust the tone or add anything.---We had a truly upsetting and stressful experience during our stay. When we arrived, no one answered the phone numbers provided, and we had to call VRBO for help. The key box was wide open with no key inside. While we waited, my teenage daughters went for a swim. When they came back and got in the shower, they found a huge knife in it—completely inappropriate and alarming.Later, while they were in the carport in their swimsuits, a strange man showed up with a key. Nowhere in the instructions did it say someone would be arriving with a key, and the fact that he had access to the property without our knowledge made us feel unsafe. Especially considering I’m a completely paralyzed quadriplegic father traveling with my three teenage daughters. A woman eventually came by later with another key and had no idea about the man who showed up before her. That only added to our unease.There was also a sliced window screen upstairs, which felt like a security concern. We seriously considered leaving that night but it was late, and we had nowhere else to go. We ended up barricading the doors with chairs just to feel somewhat secure.I had asked in advance if the property was wheelchair accessible, and I was told it was. It was also listed as w

Annual Family Beach Trip

We had a great time! House was just as described and we were thrilled to find a golf cart entrance to the beach at the end of the road! We all slept comfortably, only issue was finding extra linens for the pull out beds and we could’ve used an extra baking sheet for breakfast. Otherwise, the home was great and we would stay again.

Decorated beautifully and located in the perfect spot. Everyone was very impressed with the house and the expansive wrap around decks. Very spacious and decent parking layout. Would definitely consider renting this place again. The only few things needing attention:Sliding door leading to the restroom on first floor was off track If you go inside the upstairs bedroom at the end of the hallway on the left and close the door, you are locked in.. My daughter was in the house alone and was stuck in the room until someone return an hour later and heard her knocking. Very scary. The sink in the upstairs bedroom didn’t work properly. Other than those things I do highly recommend this beautiful home!!

Family stay between tropical storm and hurricane Beryl

The house was situated right by the beach which made it easy to walk for all ages. Easy access on and off. Beautiful views from the porches. I wish the second-floor porch had more than two chairs. It would have been a great place for large gatherings. The inside was spacious, and we were able to enjoy family time and watch movies when we were tired from being on the beach. The kitchen was well appointed with everything, we did not find a highchair as stated, however. I had messaged the owner about previous problems that needed addressing and he said they had been fixed. My one BIG thing was that the front door did not work well at all, hard to open and hard to close. This was an issue that was supposedly fixed, however it wasn't. There was a door that secured the steps going down so little kids couldn't escape or fall, that was nice. The beds were comfortable and the A/C great. The bedroom with the futon said there was a queen bed as well. However, our guests said it was only a double, which I believe was true. We probably would have picked a different property if we would have known that. We had three families, so there was lots of food. The listing said, two refrigerators, we only found one double door refrigerator/freezer. I would suggest taking out hurricane insurance for your stay. We lucked out being between the tropical storm that wreaked havoc and Hurricane Beryl. All in all, a great stay, correcting a few things would make it perfect.

So beautifully perfect!

Wow, amazing house. Amazing location! We just spent jeep weekend at this amazing location. The house is clean, well decorated, spacious, and perfectly located. The rooms were cozy with each of three couples having their own bathrooms. Views to the beach were next to none. We were able to set up on the beach close enough to use the facilities at the house if we needed. Restaurant bar within walking distance. Highly recommend this property!

Birthday Celebration

The home was beautiful and we loved the location to the beach. We had 6 kids and 6 adults and had plenty of room. We had a few issues but still had a wonderful time. I do believe the swing that is in the pictures on the website should either be repaired or taken down. The kitchen faucet was about to fall off. My husband had to repair it. Water drips out of the vent a hood onto the stovetop. There was no wine glasses. The downstairs area under the house was filthy. Sand all over the tables and on the ground. Normally the houses we stay in have had all that hosed down. The toilet in the outside shower area looked like it had never been cleaned. Very disgusting. There were no towels in the downstairs bathroom. After calling the owner, she told me to look in the dryer. I got them out and folded them. There was an issue checking in. The key wasn’t in the lock box but the house was unlocked so we got in. The key was finally brought to us late the next day after a couple of calls. Like I said, there were issues but none of them kept us from enjoying our stay.

Great Ocean View

We enjoyed our stay at Truly Heaven on the Beach. The house was clean, beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of room for six adults and two children. We enjoyed sitting on the wrap around porch in the mornings and evenings.The kitchen was pretty well stocked, but you will have to wash utensils and cups more often if you have a larger group. It was missing a can opener as well. The can opener was delivered promptly when we asked about it. This house was perfect for our family, being just steps from the beach and having a great view of the ocean.

Beautiful location house needs many maintenance!

Booked a three day stay with my 91 year old father and family. The wheelchair ramp was great. The house, if maintained would have been perfect. Decor is pleasant and bright. Furnishing are great. Now for the unpleasantries: Safety issues. 1. Doors to the patios do not close properly. They are very hard to open or close. Two of the doors had holes from the door returns so you could look through them. 2. All of the knives in the kitchen were rusty. 3. Some utensils were broken. 4. No smoke detector in the hallway. 5. Broken baluster on the banister on inside stairs going to second floor. 6. The BIGGEST ISSUE- The advertisement stated two refrigerators, there was one and it was not cooling. An appliance repairman had to come fix it. We reported this to management and owner on the first day!! owner said it was because we brought in warm food. Not true. We were told the repairman would be right out on the first day. Well you guessed it, no repairman. Then we we were told oh he will be there 9 am. Well.,, no show again. Finally on the last day the refrigerator was repaired. So needless to say. I had to have ice and coolers because the refrigerator did NOT cool to temperature. Yes, I know this for sure as i bought a refrigerator thermometer. 7. Outside maintenance issues, trash on property. No grill brush, no hair dryer and so much more that wll not fit in this note . NOT a 4.9

Family Vacation

This was the first time renting this house on the beach. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed for our stay and was closer to the beach then we expected. It was a very short walk to the beach. We had me, my son with his girlfriend and two daughters (8 and 2), my daughter with her husband and 3 children (4, 2, newborn) on this vacation. The children loved their first time on the beach and wanted to stay longer. We enjoyed our time in the house and were very happy with our accommodations. Thank you for making it wonderful.

Family time

Great house. Clean and lots of room. WIFI information is wrong. Trash pick up days are Monday and Thursday. The beach although nice is way to busy with cars! They come consistantly down the beach. You need to watch the kids due to the traffic! At one point the police had all beach goers move back away from the water to allow the traffic the "right of way!" Not a good situation for families! That reason alone will prevent me from renting at this beach again. SO SORRY!

Thanksgiving Break

We stayed during the week of Thanksgiving. Although the weather was cold and rainy (one takes one's chances in November!), the house was perfect. Check-in was easy, and the house is just as advertised and was perfect for our family. It is conveniently located near the beach; although technically on the second row, I think, it has good views and access to the Gulf. The property is well-maintained, and the kitchen is well-stocked. Note: water does build up in the street when it rains, but it did not present a problem. Thanks to Zuhair and Layla for a lovely break.

Great summer get-a-way! Will definitely return!

Beauuuuutiful home! My family & I loved it. Very spacious, with such amazing views, touches, design/layout, & beautiful décor, it will definitely be added to the yearly beach vacation list.=) The only downside was the hard walk to the beach. Yes, there is a boardwalk to walk over the marsh-ish areas, but getting up the burning hot sand dune to make it to the boardwalk walkway with 2 little kids under 7, and a 7-mo old, with a wagon & beach gear, turned out to be quite the surprise. But again, a very beautiful rental that I plan on renting again soon.

Wonderful Surfside Getaway

The house was exactly what the listing described, was super cute, clean, and had everything we needed. Access to the beach is a short walk making visits pretty easy even with a family’s worth of stuff to haul. We hope to stay again!

Beautiful and perfect location! We had rented 3 other locations and it was easy to walk down beach to meet up with rest of crew. The porch is amazing with a great view of ocean.

BEAUTIFUL BEACH HOUSE!

The beach house was beautiful and so were the views from the porches. Living room and kitchen are set up perfectly for enjoying family time. The bedrooms gave everyone enough room to be comfortable and the master bedroom was perfect. The location is the best, just steps from the water. And a very short walk on the beach to ocean front restaurants. Our week was great !

Fabulous beach house—wonderful hosts

We booked this beach house back in February for a family beach vacation planned for Memorial Day week. It’s a great location in Surfside—right on the beach with easy access. The family loved our time there. The home is beautiful, well maintained, has all the amenities we needed, and Zuhair amd Layla were super responsive at all stages of the process. We had a very minor issue with the kitchen faucet one day and after a call to Zuhair, he had his maintenance guy stop by within a couple of hours and we were good to go! I know others have said the fridge doesn’t get super cold but we did not notice that. It was plenty cold and we had it filled up! Bedrooms are spacious and there was room for everyone. Others have spoken to the odd bed setup in one room. It’s unusual but fine for a single person or a couple that likes to snuggle. ❤️❤️ There was a brand new grill that we used and the outdoor shower & restroom is fabulous. We used it everyday for rinsing off after the beach, etc. We also rented the house next door for a portion of the week after having additional family members join us for a few days. That process was seamless and since it’s the same owners it worked out especially well. We will definitely be back to this home the next time we head to the beach at Surfside. The only complaint we have (no fault of the owners or the property) is the water situation in Surfside Beach. The owners provided a 5-gallon water jug and the home has a dispenser. We got a real lesson in how much clean, fresh drinking water a big family needs! We will know better how to prepare for this next time. We HIGHLY recommend this property!! Thanks so much!
