Please note that the only way to get there is by car and the most convenient option is to take advantage of the dinner offered. It should be noted that there is an opportunity to taste very good local wine on site.”

”The Quinta da Moita is out of the way of the Douro Valley but well worth the detour. I stayed there 3 nights on a solo trip. The owners are fantastic, very sweet. The place is perfect for quiet respite, clean rooms, comfortable beds, great breakfast! I recommend to anyone for solo stay or couple gateaway! Their wines are great too! Just make sure to have food for dinner if you want to relax for the evening as everything is pretty far. But the drive is gorgeous and fun! ”

”The views are lovely. The property has many fruit trees and of course grape vines. The drive to get there involves narrow hairpin turns with steep hills, so it is not for the anxious driver. Breakfast was excellent. The cabin we stayed in was not elegant but everything we needed was there except maybe for no kettle to boil water in without a trip to main building.”

”We are a family of 5 with 3 kids under 12. We visited in March and it was very quiet/serene. Portovella has a beautiful view of the Douro. Riverside walk is just several steps down a hill. Photos don’t do it justice because it is so breathtaking in person. The comfort suite was the perfect size with 2 bathroom ensuites and a powder room. View from the suite was incredible. Just plan ahead if you’re staying on a Sunday as many restaurants were closed but we found a gem in Cinfaes - Sabores e...

”El lugar es hermoso y romántico. El servicio es excelente. Los cuartos y las vistas maravillosas. El desayuno incluido es excepcional. El bar que tienen tiene todo tipo de bebidas y comidas riquísimas con una vista al río bella. Las toallas y las sábanas del cuarto están perfumadas. Tiene estacionamiento libre de costo dentro de la propiedad. Se respira paz. Tiene una piscina infinity y un jacuzzi que puedes reservar para usarlo en privado. Todo fue perfecto.”

”The property is located in the beautiful valley on top of the mountain. The drive up to the check in was a small , narrow , cobblestone driveway. Once arrived we quickly checked in and were escorted to show us where to park the car and where the breakfast location was. Luckily we were located on the 5 th floor terrace so we only had to take the suitcases down to terrace 5 from terrace 7 where we parked.
