”Friendly staff”

”Good proximity to Brockenhurst and Lynhurst. Leisure facilities and gardens are very good and staff are helpful. However the hotel rooms needs updating and refurbishing. The restaurant food in the evening is very mediocre eg oven cooked fish and chips. The staff obliged us in changing rooms as above was a very noisy corridor or guest ?? however we were changed to an equally noisy room over kitchen by reception staff. For these reasons we would not return.”

”Our second visit to the hotel and Monty's bar and once again it was extremely good. the staff are very helpful and we can't wait to go back again next year. we chose it because of the location but everything was great. it is an old building with no lift so disabled visitors may find the stairs a challenge but the staff were so helpful with the luggage we managed.”
